Speaking of Fedoraisms, could we please serve Javascripts through
/javascripts ? Debian already has a long precedent of doing this.
I'm concerned that if Fedora invents _sysassets, we're setting
ourselves up to make the upstream advocacy task that you mentioned
much harder.

Speaking as a web app package maintainer, I think this policy has
great intentions, and I think there's advantages to following Debian's
URL precedent.

Re: twinkle: Intent to retire

2013-08-11 Thread Jan Kratochvil
Hi,

neither Ekiga nor Linphone can make a call with http://voocall.cz SIP
provider. It works with Twinkle. (All F-18.)

Ekiga Bug with pcaps: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=705783
Linphone Bug with pcaps: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=995791
SIP provider posted entry [Czech lang.]:
https://www.voocall.cz/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5t=1011

twinkle-fc18.src.rpm rebuilds fine in F-19 so it will hopefully work in F-19
and I won't have to buy+use a phone to make SIP calls.

Exactly. I even bugreported multiple SIP incompatibilities and got them
  fixed
in opal but it still was not enough for practical use. Maybe it has
  changed.

Ekiga v4 seems to have improved a number of the problems and as the
Fedora maintainer I've been working closely with upstream since it's
release to close out any remaining issues, 4.0.1 appears to be a
reasonable bugfix release but if you do have issues please report a
bug and we'll work with upstream to get them fixed. Upstream seems to
 have been reinvigorated of late.

Fwd: Broken dependencies: python-osmgpsmap

2013-08-11 Thread Richard Shaw
Ok, I've been getting these messages for a while but I'm not the package
owner for I didn't worry about it, however, it's been a couple of weeks so
I decided to take a look to see how much work it would be.

Now I'm really confused... There are two separate packages in Fedora:
osm-gps-map
python-osmgpsmap

Both point to the same upstream URL. The description from upstream of
osm-gps-map says it includes python bindings but there is not currently a
separate sub-package generated...

So what's the deal? Do one of these packages need to be retired?

Hi,

since Gazpacho hasn't been maintained fro years and it requires an older
version of python-kiwi than currently packaged in F20, i'm retiring.
It has been superseeded by Glade 3 and no other packages should require it.

Best regards,

[Test-Announce] 2013-08-12 @ 15:00 UTC - Fedora QA Meeting LIVE!

2013-08-11 Thread Adam Williamson
# Fedora Quality Assurance Meeting
# Date: 2013-08-12
# Time: 15:00 UTC
(https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Infrastructure/UTCHowto)
# Location: #fedora-meeting on irc.freenode.net AND LIVE AT FLOCK!

Greetings testers!

It's meeting time again on Monday! Myself, Tim, Josef, Johann and John
are all at Flock, so someone came up with the neat idea that we should
do a QA Meeting Live: those of us who are here will get together and the
meeting will also run on IRC for everyone who isn't here.

We'll also be pulling in the ARM and cloud folks who are at Flock to
help with the agenda, so we can discuss the two meatiest topics left
ahead of Fedora 20 release: ARM as a primary arch and the Visible Cloud
change. We need to nail down exactly what changes are needed to the
criteria, test cases, and validation matrices to cover those changes,
and make sure we're completely prepared to do the necessary testing
ahead of Alpha.

This is a reminder of the upcoming QA meeting. Please add any topic
suggestions to the meeting wiki page:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA/Meetings/20130812
The current proposed agenda is included below.

== Proposed Agenda Topics ==
1. ARM release criteria / test matrix adjustments
2. Visible Cloud release criteria / test matrix adjustments
3. Open floor

[perl-Email-MIME-ContentType] Update to 1.017

2013-08-11 Thread Paul Howarth
commit b1803ca39069ffa4ebec8a879edbdc9e1a38b080
Author: Paul Howarth p...@city-fan.org
Date: Sun Aug 11 20:55:20 2013 +0100

Update to 1.017

- New upstream release 1.017
  - Correct the longstanding and embarrassing misuse of discrete and
composite to mean type and subtype; the returned data still
contains
the wrong old names so your code shouldn't break
  - Repackage to update bugtracker, repo, etc.
  - Make $STRICT_PARAMS actually work! (CPAN RT#87460)
- Don't need to remove empty directories from the buildroot
- Drop %defattr, redundant since rpm 4.4
- Explicitly run the release tests

 %description
-This module is responsible for parsing email content type headers
-according to section 5.1 of RFC 2045. It returns a hash as above, with
-entries for the discrete type, the composite type, and a hash of
-attributes.
+This module is responsible for parsing email content type headers according
+to section 5.1 of RFC 2045. It returns a hash with entries for the type, the
+subtype, and a hash of attributes.
+
+For backward compatibility with a really unfortunate misunderstanding of RFC
+2045 by the early implementors of this module, 'discrete' and 'composite' are
+also present in the returned hashref, with the values of 'type' and 'subtype'
+respectively.

+- Update to 1.017
+ - Correct the longstanding and embarrassing misuse of discrete and
+composite to mean type and subtype; the returned data still contains
+the wrong old names so your code shouldn't break
+ - Repackage to update bugtracker, repo, etc.
+ - Make $STRICT_PARAMS actually work! (CPAN RT#87460)
+- Don't need to remove empty directories from the buildroot
+- Drop %%defattr, redundant since rpm 4.4
+- Explicitly run the release tests
