I looked at the bug report, but it's rather long and cluttered due to cloning, and my interest level to read the entire thing is approximately zero. Getconf error in 32-bit Koji
I had a build failure in Koji for Rawhide on i686 caused by this error: getconf: Couldn't execute /usr/libexec/getconf/POSIX_V6_LP64_OFF64: No such file or directory http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=8859938 I fixed the build by passing the same builder options to make install as to make, which I think is a good thing to do anyway, but I'm wondering if this is a bug in Koji. It looks like Getconf thinks it's running on a 64-bit platform. Re: GTK widget sizing in Rawhide
On Fri, 6 Feb 2015, Orion Poplawski wrote: I'm working on testing wxPython 3.0 (which has now been built against GTK+3) in Rawhide. As I'm going through the various wxPython applications, I'm seeing issues in several of the applications with widget sizing: buttons, text controls, combo boxes, etc - usually they are too small. When I test the same applications (same version, same wxPython, same wxWidgets), I am not seeing the same issues. Does anyone know what might be going on - is there some change in GTK+ 3.15 with respect to widget sizing or a known issue? Here are a couple of screenshots that illustrate the issue: Cura in Rawhide: http://www.techie.net/~talbert/wxGTK2_vs_wxGTK3/Cura_GTK3.png Cura in F21: http://www.techie.net/~talbert/wxGTK2_vs_wxGTK3/Cura_GTK3_F21.png Thanks, Scott There have been reports of issues appearing in gtk3 3.15.4 that weren't in 3.15.3. See https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1185999 That bug seems to be mainly just about colors being wrong. But sure enough, downgrading to 3.15.3 resolves the widget sizing issues I'm seeing too. If it's correct, then LANG= boot parameter is superfluous and benign (even if cluttered). If it contains the wrong value, why is it wrong? No, /etc/locale.conf value is correct. Take a look at the bug report (specially Harald's comment). I looked at the bug report, but it's rather long and cluttered due to cloning, and my interest level to read the entire thing is approximately zero. What's the consequence of this bug if /etc/locale.conf is correct, and therefore the inserted LANG= on boot parameter line is also correct? Are you sure that grubby is reading /etc/locale.conf and inserting LANG= or is new-kernel-pkg doing this? new-kernel-pkg I suggest changing the component to kernel if kernel packaging is to blame. new-kernel-pkg is provided by grubby and we aren't doing anything special in kernel.spec here in the invocation. It's not a kernel bug. josh -- devel mailing list devel@lists.fedoraproject.org https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/devel Fedora Code of Conduct: http://fedoraproject.org/code-of-conduct
OpenBabel rebase to pre-2.4 (current Git master)
Dear fellow packagers, I intend to update openbabel to pre-2.4 (current Git master) in rawhide in a few weeks. For now I'm providing the new builds in copr: http://copr.fedoraproject.org/coprs/rathann/openbabel-2.4/ Package owners in Bcc: please check if your packages build against this new version and still work correctly. Affected packages: IQmol PyQuante avogadro chemtool ghemical gnome-chemistry-utils kalzium xdrawchem One known issue is that building Ruby bindings makes 66% of the tests fail. If anyone could look at that, I'd appreciate it a lot.
