This is needed following the perl-perlfaq subpackaging from perl in F24.
Correct the build time dependency list, too.

+Fedora 24 introduced the perl-perlfaq package which may replace the core
+perl-perlfaq subpackage, installing its files into vendorlib.

  Hi,

I kind of miss the overview of supported releases that was
  available in old version.

It would be nice if this overview was part of the landing page with
links to the release detail pages:
  https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/releases/F23

This way one is immediately aware which releases are still
  supported or newly added.

I have filed it today -
 https://github.com/fedora-infra/bodhi/issues/350

https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/releases/

Has that info? It's just not currently linked anywhere obvious.

Besides this: resubmitting gives you the choice to chose the platforms

The web interface should be available and working for adding and

The command line tools should be available tomorrow in repos.

'fedpkg update' should work provided you have the latest python-fedora

There will likely be oddities and bugs. Please file them in github so
we can prioritize them and get them fixed up.

Hi,

I kind of miss the overview of supported releases that was available in
old version.

It would be nice if this overview was part of the landing page with
links to the release detail pages:
https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/releases/F23

This way one is immediately aware which releases are still supported or
newly added.

Yes. The bodhi 2 announcement that told you to update python-fedora to

I'll grant you it didn't exactly make it clear that the specified

[389-devel] [lib389] Deref control advice needed

2015-08-25 Thread William Brown
Hi,

In relation to ticket 47757, I have started work on a deref control for Noriko.
The idea is to get it working in lib389, then get it upstreamed into pyldap.

At this point it's all done, except that the actual request control doesn't
appear to work. Could one of the lib389 / ldap python experts cast their eye
over this and let me know where I've gone wrong?

For one, I don't think that the DerferenceControl decodeControlValue function is
ever called, as I'm never seeing the encodedControlValue printed in my logs.

Second, the results I get from result3 are:

[('cn=testgroup,dc=example,dc=com', {'objectClass': ['top', 'extensibleobject'],
'uniqueMember': ['uid=test,dc=example,dc=com'], 'cn': ['testgroup']})]
[]

Which again, doesn't seem correct, as there should be a result from the control.

Additionally, any tips on how to make the code nicer would be appreciated.

I've attached the complete patch, with a unit test to trigger the search, but
the request control looks like:

Happened to me as well. How many times did you repeated 'fedpkg update'

I've repeated it enough times to establish -- per Albert Einstein --
that I'm probably insane; none of them has worked.

The new web interface worked, once I figured out what the correct inputs
were.

Announcing the release of Fedora 23 Alpha for aarch64 and POWER!

2015-08-25 Thread Peter Robinson
Fedora 23 Alpha Release Announcement for aarch64 and POWER
==

The Fedora 23 Alpha is here, right on schedule for our planned
October final release. Download the prerelease from our Get Fedora
site:

https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora-secondary/releases/test/23_Alpha/Server/

What is the Alpha release?
--

The Alpha release contains all the exciting features of Fedora 23's
editions in a form that anyone can help test. This testing, guided
by the Fedora QA team, helps us target and identify bugs. When
these bugs are fixed, we make a Beta release available. A Beta
release is code-complete and bears a very strong resemblance to the
third and final release. The final release of Fedora 23 is expected
in October.

We need your help to make Fedora 23 the best release yet, so please
take some time to download and try out the Alpha and make sure the
things that are important to you are working. If you find a bug,
please report it – every bug you uncover is a chance to improve the
experience for millions of Fedora users worldwide.

Together, we can make Fedora rock-solid. We have a culture of
coordinating new features and pushing fixes upstream as much as
feasible, and your feedback will help improve not only Fedora but
Linux and free software on the whole.

Fedora-Wide Changes
---

Fedora 23 includes a number of changes that will improve all of the
editions. For example, Fedora 23 is making use of compiler flags to
help improve security by hardening the binaries against memory
corruption vulnerabilities, buffer overflows, and so on. This is a
behind the scenes change that most users won't notice through
normal use of a Fedora edition, but should help provide additional
system security.

Likewise, Fedora 23 has disabled SSL3 and RC4 by default due to
known vulnerabilities in the protocols. This means all applications
that use GNUTLS and OpenSSL libraries have had the SSL3 protocol
and RC4 cipher disabled.

Fedora 23 Alpha also includes support for Unicode 8.0, which
includes new emojis, and improvements in sorting Unicode text and
processing non-ASCII URLs.

Issues and Details
--

This is an Alpha release. As such, we expect that you may encounter
bugs or missing features. To report issues encountered during
testing, contact the Fedora QA team via the mailing list or in
#fedora-qa on freenode.

As testing progresses, common issues are tracked on the Common F23
Bugs page. For tips on reporting a bug effectively, read how to
file a bug report.

* https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_file_a_bug_report

Release Schedule

The full release schedule is available on the Fedora wiki. The
current schedule calls for a beta release towards the end of
September, and the final release scheduled towards the end of
October.

These dates are subject to change, pending any major bugs or issues
found during the development process.

Announcing the release of Fedora 23 Alpha for aarch64 and POWER!

2015-08-25 Thread Peter Robinson
Fedora 23 Alpha Release Announcement for aarch64 and POWER
==

Release Schedule

The full release schedule is available on the Fedora wiki. The
current schedule calls for a beta release towards the end of
September, and the final release scheduled towards the end of
October.

These dates are subject to change, pending any major bugs or issues
found during the development process.

no it's not in updates-testing
at least not for F21

Well he was asking about F-22, and it's there, I got it on my
remaining F-22 system this way.

updates-testing always enabled here and only:

It seems it should be, maybe issues with local mirror being out of sync?

no, multiple times tried rm -rf /var/cache/yum/*; yum upgrade

 Greetings.

After a longer than expected outage window, I'm happy to report that
bodhi2 is now live in production at

 https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates
 or
 https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/

The web interface should be available and working for adding and
managing updates and build root overrides as well as karma.
The command line tools should be available tomorrow in repos.

'fedpkg update' should work provided you have the latest python-fedora
 (python-fedora-0.5.5-1).

There will likely be oddities and bugs. Please file them in github so
we can prioritize them and get them fixed up.

A collection of known issues and more information can be found at:
 https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Bodhi2

Thanks for your patience as we roll out this new bodhi version.

 Hi,

I kind of miss the overview of supported releases that was available in
 old version.

It would be nice if this overview was part of the landing page with
links to the release detail pages:
 https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/releases/F23

This way one is immediately aware which releases are still supported or
 newly added.

I have filed it today - https://github.com/fedora-infra/bodhi/issues/350

Regards,
Parag.
