Looks like there is interest in keeping this package around. A patch
has been posted to the bugzilla to fix the issue. I am retaking
ownership of this package and starting a koji build. Thanks and sorry
for the noise.

There has been no activity on this package since 2016. This package

Congratulations. Are there any plans to add blivet to pypi? It will be
useful to have it in pypi where other projects can use this library.

java-1.8.0-openjdk i686 and x86_64 rpms

2014-04-22 Thread Arun SAG
Hi,

I see openjdk-1.8.0 got built and pushed as an update for fedora 19
http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=505651 .

 In the past the i686 rpms of openjdk were pushed into release x86_64
repo of fedora 19
(http://mirrors.kernel.org/fedora-enchilada/linux/releases/19/Everything/x86_64/os/Packages/j/)
, But with this particular update the i686 rpm never got pushed into
x86_64 repository
http://mirrors.kernel.org/fedora-enchilada/linux/updates/19/x86_64/

Any reason why it is not happening?

Not really! We are already a customer of RHEL. Money is not the problem. We
want our users to use the latest software out there but we also want to
reduce the upgrade cycle.

You CANNOT disturb every developer in a company to upgrade his box every 6
months.

Completely agree on this one. In my day job we started using Fedora as one
of our desktop os. Then support issues and upgrade cycle started giving
nightmares to corp IT. They are looking at other avenues now. I really wish
there is a LTS release for this awesome distro - Fedora.

Fedora 17: Auto configuring wireless networks in Network Manager on first boot

2012-11-08 Thread Arun SAG
Hi,

How do i configure wireless networks in NetworkManager during install time
so that the user don't have to configure it manually. I tried to drop in
the file ifcfg-networkname in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/, but Network
Manager keeps asking me to configure the network myself despite the
presence of the configuration file.

Here is my ifcfg-networkname file looks like

HWADDR=xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
ESSID="networkname"
MODE=Managed
KEY_MGMT=WPA-EAP
SECURITYMODE=open
TYPE=Wireless
IEEE_8021X_EAP_METHODS=PEAP
IEEE_8021X_IDENTITY=
IEEE_8021X_PASSWORD_FLAGS=ask
IEEE_8021X_INNER_AUTH_METHODS=GTC
BOOTPROTO=dhcp
DEFROUTE=yes
PEERDNS=yes
PEERROUTES=yes
IPV4_FAILURE_FATAL=no
IPV6INIT=yes
IPV6_AUTOCONF=yes
IPV6_DEFROUTE=yes
IPV6_PEERDNS=yes
IPV6_PEERROUTES=yes
IPV6_FAILURE_FATAL=no
IPV6_PRIVACY=rfc3041
NAME=
UUID=cbb10c64-e609-4dcf-b554-7343cb791eae
ONBOOT=yes

Does network manager do anything other than generating this file when the
user configures a wireless network?

Hi,

I have built python-requests package version 0.13.1. This version removes
support for making async requests. If you are using this feature of requests
please see https://github.com/kennethreitz/requests/issues/608

Other than that, this version will now use the system provided ca-certificates
for validating ssl certificates.

Anaconda memory requirements

2011-08-20 Thread Arun SAG
Hi,

We are working on a remix(considering a spin) of Fedora that could be used
in schools[1], The problem is, most of these schools in India use donated
computers and have very less memory (256 Mb - 512 Mb).

According to this blog post
https://anonbadger.wordpress.com/2011/02/25/need-more-memory/ and this email
thread
https://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/devel/2011-February/149110.html i
understand that some one is working on reducing the memory footprint of
anaconda.

 Will it be ready for F16? How much memory will anaconda require to install
Fedora 16? I'd love to see reduced memory requirements for anaconda in F16.
