Re: poppler soname bump in Rawhide soon
I'm looking in to efl FTBFS. It seems to be issues on s390x and ppc64le related to more strict requirements, checks in gcc 14. I'm investigating them now and if I will not be able to fix them promptly I will submit a PR with a workaround( at first look disable altivec on ppc64le and for s390x skipping the arch for time being assuming that embryo_cc can't be disabled) by tomorrow so rebuild can continue, while forking on proper fix. [EPEL-devel] Golang back in EPEL 7
Hello, as golang got deprecated in favor of Go-toolset[1] with release of RHEL 7.6[2] and as there has been interested[3]. I have unretired and reintroduced the golang package back in to the EPEL7. For time being I will keep updates on the same cadence as for EPEL6, i.e. keeping one version of GC for the duration of its upstream support, i.e. skipping every other major(1.X) release. Currently package is in the bodhi update[4] and also update for epel6 is there[5], karma and testing will be much appreciated for both. Reintroduction of the golang back to EPEL7 opens question if we(I guess as Go-SIG and epel/fedora community) should pursue the same (S)RPM macros setup as we have in Fedora, so we can get the whole Fedora's Go stack there. Is it even technically possible?(changing the minimal buildroot in EPEL7?) What do you think about it? Anybody interested? [EPEL-devel] Golang rebase to 1.11.1 in epel6
Hello, I have rebased golang from 1.9.7 to the 1.11.1 in epel6 as go1.9 is no longer supported in upstream. Bodhi update: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/golang-1.11.1-1.el6 I have observed one test failing due to broken pipes(on x86_64), but it doesn't look too serious to me, so I took the liberty to ignore it. If anybody would be interested in investigating this further, I would much appreciate it. Karma and testing is as usual welcomed. If there will be no issues or objections I will push it in to the stable when possible. JC PS: Could we enable non-menber posting to this list(for example, after review?). ___ epel-devel mailing list -- epel-devel@lists.fedoraproject.org To unsubscribe send an email to epel-devel-le...@lists.fedoraproject.org Fedora Code of Conduct: https://getfedora.org/code-of-conduct.html List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/epel-devel@lists.fedoraproject.org
