[HEADS UP] lttng-ust 2.13 soname bump

2021-10-20 Thread Michael Jeanson
I have started the process of updating lttng-ust to 2.13 in rawhide
which implies a soname bump of liblttng-ust to 1 and liblttng-ust-ctl to 5.

From what I understand, the following packages will need to be rebuilt:

libcamera
mir-server-libs

These packages might also be impacted:

ceph-base
dotnet-runtime
librados2
librbd1
librgw2
lttng-tools
mir-test-tools

I have created a side tag 'f36-build-side-47029' and built lttng-ust and
lttng-tools. I plan to have the side-tag merged in rawhide in about a week.

I have created a side tag 'f35-build-side-42347' and built
userspace-rcu, lttng-ust and lttng-tools. At this point I'm unsure what
the rest of the procedure is to get the other packages built in this tag
and then get them pushed to rawhide once it's done.

Hi,

The following packages still need to be rebuilt in the tag:

 - device-mapper-multipath
 - knot
 - netsniff-ng

I added the maintainers in CC in case they don't read fedora-devel,
sorry if that's considered bad form.

At this point what is the recommended amount of time to wait before
merging back the side tag?

Regards,

Michael

Does that imply python3.10 too?

Yes, I explicitly waited for python 3.10 to land before starting the
side tag.
