Somebody reported this when they didn't have the right ssl certs in place.

With the newer fedpkg installed, can you do a fedpkg clone -v appliance-tools ?

This looks more like an error in your ssh key setup rather than a fedpkg error.
You could confirm by downgrading fedpkg at home and trying again.

Are you sure you have the same ssh key setup both at home and at work? And is

As noted on IRC, but repeated here for the rest of the class, I've
been buried in the work necessary to convert the internal Red Hat
repos from cvs to git, much like we did in Fedora. This required
some changes to fedpkg, particularly moving most of the code into a
shared backend. These builds are a result of that work, all other
work on other parts of fedora-packager have been on my back burner,
and will likely remain there until spring of next year.

Just for the sake of people who were not watching IRC at the right
moment, all those patches were pushed to the tree (thanks for giving me
the access), so fedora-hosted (which I have immediately symlinked to
trac command) now works as kind of useful trac CLI client.

Not sure whether this will go to the next release though.

fedpkg will work with the older GitPython. There is some other software being
used inside of Red Hat that requires the newer GitPython and so those users
will need the newer fedpkg that is compatible with the newer GitPython. It's
not completely necessary for everybody to update GitPython but I would like to

 What's wrong with patches in

As noted on IRC, but repeated here for the rest of the class, I've been buried
in the work necessary to convert the internal Red Hat repos from cvs to git,
much like we did in Fedora. This required some changes to fedpkg, particularly
moving most of the code into a shared backend. These builds are a result of
that work, all other work on other parts of fedora-packager have been on my
back burner, and will likely remain there until spring of next year.

That's right, it does not just yet. I plan on working on user discovery code
 soon as
I also have to support discovering user name based on kerberos information.

I would appreciate even a quick patch as without fedpkg is unusable to
me (and I guess I'm not the only one whose login != fas username).

Thanks!

There is a global fedpkg option to define your username.

-u USER, --user USER Override the username found in the fedora cert

(yes, the help text is misleading, but the end result is the same)

Works fine here. Pulled, uploaded new source code, and built a package.

This build is a pretty major rewrite to make use of a shared pyrpkg backend.
Coming along for the ride is a new build of GitPython which brings some more
 deps, python-gitdb, python-async, and python-smmap.

There has been a lot of code shuffle in fedpkg so I'm really interested in
heavy testing of this.  GitPython also has an API change from previous builds
so if there are other consumers of GitPython I need to know about them to
 help with API migration.

Please test these updates and let me know if all is good, or if you have
other issues.  Bodhi karma, email, IRC, smoke signal, just let me know.

I used it for the latter part of the day and things seem to work well
for my normal workflow.
