This is nice find. I don't have anything with an intel GPU. Joost can we
add this tweak by default? vsync is hardly anything risky to have by
default, so I see no reason not to.

Can you provide your hardware configurastion ?

I'll try XFce-dev asap on two laptops (1 whith Intel Integrated GPU and
1 with Nvidia GTX950M GPU)

I confirm this. Xfce display flickering (Xfce-dev LIVE) on Intel
Integrated Graphics (not tested on Nvidia GPU yet)

I solved :

Settings --> Window manager Tweak --> Compositor tab

and set "Synchronize drawing to the vertical blank" to "true"

this option can be edited here:

~/.config/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml

and set to "true"  the "sync_to_vblank" in the xml file
