Re: [sabayon-dev] ISO testing - Release blockers

2016-08-24 Thread Ettore Di Giacinto
Just fixed anaconda issue:
https://github.com/Sabayon/anaconda/commit/d490b19f7ca77baabdb10e10ee8d381d2d19ebf8

could not bump due to transifex permissions, but i revbumped the ebuild in
our overlay with the patch.

Someone can confirm that gui/text install on Minimal/Server is working ?

Ettore,
can you try to reproduce the issue by removing str() in
/usr/lib64/python2.7/site-packages/pyanaconda/ui/gui/spokes/custom.py
at line 2633 ?

Re: [sabayon-dev] ISO testing - Release blockers

2016-08-14 Thread sabayonino
Hi folks

Testing KDE DAILY ISO

* Language set on LIVE when selected from boot options (keyboard/locale)
Language is set fine but keyboard still set to "us".
Need to setup keyboard manually (via systemsettings)

* Language set after install
- set fine. No problem found

* Language of keyboard after install
- set fine but I think it depends on the point 1. No problem found

* KDE flavor now ships sddm:
- no problem found after install

* Installation: custom partitioning/encryption and specific border-cases
- Custom partitioning (no encryption tested yet) : No problem found

Live Environment issue
Can't access to the wifi connection (wired connection was no tested yet)
and I can't mount any storages or other partitions on the HDD
see following images :
http://imageshack.com/a/img921/3773/ud9ZQC.jpg
http://imageshack.com/a/img924/7875/OqX9TI.jpg

After install no problems found. I can manage my wifi connection and
mount/access to my partiotions and storages without any problem.

Another issue (Live environment and installed system)
As I explaned here -->
https://forum.sabayon.org/viewtopic.php?f=56=33279 and here -->
https://lists.sabayon.org/pipermail/devel/2016-July/009255.html , I
still have problem with 4.6 kernel. Monitor flicks.
Solved passing i915_enable_psr=0 option to the boot parameter.

see cookbug attachment (related to the other sabayon installation on the
same hardware)

cheers :)
