Ondra, would such an error propagate through the playbook to Engine and
fail the add-host flow? (I think it should!)

Do you know which package provide the glusterfs firewalld service, and why
it is missing from the host?

Re: [ovirt-devel] [ OST Failure Report ] [ oVirt Master ] [ bootstrap.verify_add_hosts ] [ 18/10/17 ]

2017-10-18 Thread Daniel Belenky
I think that the missing packages issue you've mentioned is not persistent
and I don't see any more tests failing on it anymore, I assume it was a
change in the repo or something similar. But the original error that I've
reported about is persistent and it's failing OST since yesterday. We must
find the root cause for those errors as every patch to ovirt-engine is
based on some faulty commit and it won't be deployed to the tested repo.
I'll mention though that tests that don't include new engine patches (for
example tests that include only new VDSM) pass OST.

This looks great, guys. Congrats!

Does this also work with plain libvirt?

These patches are part of the engine backend - the failure happens WAY
beforehand, they don't look related as far as I can tell.

Subsequent failures of the same suite seem to have different errors, e.g.:

line 256, in _packages
if self._miniyum.buildTransaction():
  File "/tmp/ovirt-y8uX2TlUiq/pythonlib/otopi/miniyum.py", line 920,
in buildTransaction
raise yum.Errors.YumBaseError(msg)
YumBaseError: [u'vdsm-4.20.3-202.git6826cec.el7.centos.x86_64 requires

Has something changed in the way OST sets up repos/hosts?

Very nice work!

Where is this going? Are all WebAdmin features planned to be supported at
some point? Its kinda nice to be able to access and manage the systems from
any one of the hosts instead of having to know where the engine is...

Congrats Michal, Marek and team, this is very nice! The unified look & feel

[ovirt-devel] Cockpit oVirt support

2017-10-18 Thread Michal Skrivanek
Hi all,
I’m happy to announce that we finally finished initial contribution of oVirt
specific support into the Cockpit management platform
See below for more details

There are only limited amount of operations you can do at the moment, but it
may already be interesting for troubleshooting and simple admin actions where
you don’t want to launch the full blown webadmin UI

Worth noting that if you were ever intimidated by the complexity of the GWT UI
of oVirt portals and it held you back from contributing, please take another
look!

Thanks,
michal
