The Quota bug was not really a blocker, but since it kept the flag, we
merged the fix.

I just tried to help Ondra with the other one, but we need to wait and see
if the fix we got from Fedora guidelines works.

vdsm needs it because we would like vdsm to be able to parse OVA files that
are generated by us and OVA files that  are generated by others (and are
VMware-compatbile) with the existing code in vdsm. The existing code is
tailored to VMware-compatible OVA files that are generated by others, in
which the uri doesn't include that slash at the end.

It would be best to adjust ovirt-ha-agent to parse the right uri.
However, it that's too complicated, an alternative solution is to keep
writing the previous uri to ovirt's OVFs, i.e., those in OVF_STORE and in
snapshot's configuration. That would be a pitty since we want to minimize
the differences between the OVFs we generate, but it would be better than
reverting the change..

I suggest to do more testing for different HE VM configurations, this is not 
the only thing which has changed in 4.2 OVF
I hope we will get rid of this whole code soon, it’s unmaintainable

The main work is the vdsm side, and we have now very useful logs
when multipath health logs in vdsm. These logs alone should be very
important for support.

Also having the new monitor running in the beta is very important,
if we discover some issues with it, we want to fix them before
the actual release.

I don't know how much work is needed on the engine yet, Fred is
working on this.

​Yes, it looks quite similar. But the important thing is that in both cases
the host ended up in NonOperational​

​(although it went there through Connecting​). And as mentioned in the
BZ​1488338 we don't have an explanation while VDSM hasn't sent heartbeat
back to engine within the minute before it was killed by sanlock.

I checked Martin's logs and it seems like getSpmStatus is getting blocked
for around 1 min and after it engine never receives any responses from vdsm.
I added my findings to the BZ.

that’s unlikely. Who’s saying that and where? conf is not being sent since Nov 
8th [1] in RunVM flow.  You still get conf on suspend and resume flow, 4.1 
compatibility and such, there were some minor issues here and there, and the 
other patches in that bug are needed.

sos-3.5 is currently targeted to RHEL 7.5 with a chance to get it into 7.4
around January.
it's already available in Fedora 26 and 27.
I asked a few days ago if there is interest in getting it included in Virt
SIG for early consumption but didn't get positive feedback so far so I
don't consider this a blocker for oVirt 4.2.0 GA

Patches are in initial stage of review. Yaniv Lavi is adamant that this is
indeed a 4.2.0 blocker, so it would cause at least a day or two of delay.

effect by Milan, currently blocked by environmental hurdles (storage
server; odd SELinux problem in Engine). An answer is still expected today.
