Yes, there are plenty of things that could be done to make our docs
better :
- proof-read existing docs. Check both syntax/style and technical
accuracy.
- fill driver manual pages. Most of the section 4 manual pages for
graphics card or input device drivers are currently more or less an
empty shell. If you can fill them by reading the code or by prodding
contributors to describe the supported options and so on...
- help builind the 'What's new' section for the release notes by going
throung the Changelog and extracting the important information,
- look at Egbert's wicki and get all interesting information that
could be more integrated with the XFree86 distibution.
Use bugzilla or mail to patches@ to send diffs against documents. We
prefer diffs against the source documents (the sgml sources in
xc/programs/Xsererver/hw/xfree86/doc/sgml or the nroff source of
manual pages), but diffs against the formatted docs is OK too, if you
can't read/modify the source format.
