[Development] HEADS-UP: Branching from '5.12' to '5.12.7' started

2020-01-16 Thread Jani Heikkinen
Hi,

We have soft branched '5.12.7' from '5.12' today and all new changes targeted
to Qt 5.12.7 release should be done in '5.12.7'. Final downmerge from '5.12' to
'5.12.7' will happen Wed 22nd January.

Target is to release Qt 5.12.7 during January so please fix all release
blockers immediately; blocker list here:
https://bugreports.qt.io/issues/?filter=21823
And make sure all blockers are visible in the blocker list.

Initial changes files will be created soon; please finalize those asap when
available.

br,
Jani Heikkinen

+1 for Alexandru

+1 for Jörg

They both know a lot about build systems and I trust both to do a great job.

Best Regards,
Tobias

+1 from me as well, they're both doing a great job!

My kudos to Alexandru esp., for driving the Qt 6 build system efforts!
