Re: [Development] HEADS-UP: Branching from 'dev' to '5.12' completed

2018-08-29 Thread Tuukka Turunen
Hi,

I would like to remind about the API review. Some modules are already nicely
progressing (or even completed), but there are also some that are not yet even
started.

Despite Alpha being slightly delayed due to the needed fixes, we hopefully can
catch up and release Beta 1 around the originally planned schedule.

Yours,

Tuukka

So now it is time for the API review.
Find your favourite module on:

https://codereview.qt-project.org/#/q/status:open+branch:5.12+topic:api-review,n,z

Track the review in:
http://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-70094

Any issues you raise in review should, per [QUIP 10], be reported
as bugs that block both QTBUG-70094 and the release.

2018-08-21 Thread Tuukka Turunen

Hi,

There are still quite many modules that have nothing mentioned about them in
the new features overview page. It would be great to get these added quickly as
we will point to the wiki from the Alpha announcement.

Yours,

Tuukka

Hi!

We have soft branched '5.12' from 'dev' today. We are planning to have
final downmerge and Qt 5.12 Feature Freeze Monday 20.8.2018. So there is still
time to finalize ongoing task in 'dev' and start using '5.12' for new changes
targeted to Qt 5.12 release.
