Hi Florent,

Thanks so much for putting that together. When I try to access
staging.freenetproject.org I get an "Access Denied" error. In the past I
recall there being an authentication challenge, am I missing something?

I have deployed it on
https://github.com/freenet/website/tree/2016-redesign
It gets auto-built by CI when you push to it
https://travis-ci.org/freenet/website
and auto-deployed to:
https://staging.freenetproject.org/

Gmail does handle those headers.

I've thought some more about this and a problem may be that many people
nowadays only use minimalistic web mailers such as GMail.
Those may not have UI for the Unsubscribe header and not allow the user to
manually interfere with mail headers.

Would it be possible to:
- provide a web interface for unsubscribing
- or allow unsubscribing with a plaintext email with special keywords in the
title/body?

The question is whether we should link to (endorse) any/all of them on
the website. Ian?

Not an official one.

There are at least three problems with it:
- we are looking at cutting down maintenance, not providing new services
- it requires running a permanent node (something FPI shouldn't do)
- it would contain email addresses that would be more easily harvest-
able for spammers (all of the options above have some form of
obfuscation)
