Indeed it doesn’t have much value and it could be a good idea to remove it (would generate less merge conflicts in the future). The only potential pitfall is if we need to have a Quick Links panel in the future, but I guess we had one because we were missing places in the UI where to put various stuff and over time we reduce it to the minimum and now that we have a place for Sandbox too, it’s not useful anymore… Who would be in favor of removing it altogether? thanks -Vincent > Thanks >> -Vincent >> >>> > * Adding a new Tip panel instead to not loose the CTRL+G tip (which was > not very well placed in the Quick Links panel) + take the opportunity to > add a few more tips: https://jira.xwiki.org/browse/XWIKI-13270 > > WDYT? > We need to mention in the release notes that: * the Distribution Wizard may detect a merge conflict on the Quick Links panel if this panel was customized * the Quick Links panel may disappear after an upgrade to 8.1M1+. [xwiki-devs] [Proposal] Add Sandbox in the app bar + Remove Quick Links Panel + Add Tip Panel
Hi devs, I’d like to go on with https://jira.xwiki.org/browse/XWIKI-8919 (which incidentally is a solution for https://jira.xwiki.org/browse/XWIKI-8917 and in general brings consistency). This proposal is about: * Adding Sandbox in the app bar: https://jira.xwiki.org/browse/XWIKI-8919 * Removing Sandbox from the Quick Links Panel and thus the Quick Links Panel which becomes empty by default * Adding a new Tip panel instead to not loose the CTRL+G tip (which was not very well placed in the Quick Links panel) + take the opportunity to add a few more tips: https://jira.xwiki.org/browse/XWIKI-13270 WDYT? Thanks -Vincent ___ devs mailing list devs@xwiki.org http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/devs
