 Hi Anil,
I will take a look at the error, but in general, you should translate
the languages which you can actually translate. We can support in principle
any language, thus it would be best to know which locale you are actually
targeting, so that I can ensure everything is set up properly.

Re: [Dhis2-devs] Support of "IN" clauses in SQL Views / Queries?

2016-05-04 Thread Morten Olav Hansen
@Lars: possibly, at least the parsing logic.. that said, most of the object
filter stuff does automatic translation of properties etc.. so it is only
allowed to work on exposed properties, which I think is not good enough for
SQLViews..

Re: [Dhis2-devs] [Dhis2-users] Calculating the duration of the process in Tracker capture

2016-05-04 Thread Elmarie Claasen
Hi Pepe,

Someone may have a workable solution for you that doesnt involve some
hacking with SQL scripts which is generally not preferred but sometimes
unavoidable. In my experience it is currently not possible to set up
program indicators that does calculations between different program stages
as the program indicator screen requires you to select one program stage
and in addition to the data elements for that stage you have the attributes
and some variables like event date, enrollment date, due date available but
only for one program stage.

I see that under program rules there is now in 2.23 a feature where they
allow dataelement from previous event to be included so maybe we are not
far away from being able to make indicators between program stages...
(Hint, hint).

The other alternative I have used before is re-think whether i could add
some of the fields as attributes instead which then allows you to set up
indicators but it doesnt sound like this option would assist you?

>From my experience creating an element and putting it in a stage and
running a script as cron job is the only way to do so currently.

Maybe writing a blueprint would help.

Re: [Dhis2-devs] [Bug 1578302] [NEW] Program Indicators issue in DHIS2

2016-05-04 Thread Busoye Anifalaje
To add to this description

If a data element is in more than one (non-repeated) program stage and a
program indicator is created for one of those program stages, the pivot table
returns calculated values for all program stages.

This makes it extremely limited to reused data elements across program stages.

[Dhis2-devs] [Bug 1578302] [NEW] Program Indicators issue in DHIS2

2016-05-04 Thread Jhonson Charles
Public bug reported:

For a Data Element (DE) present in more than 1 program stage, if you
create a program indicator for each stage using that DE. the system use
the first value entered in the first stage to compile the result and
does not take into account the other value entered in the other stage.

Let's take as example:

Women weight for a particular MNCH Program, which is collected at each women
visit. if you create an indicator for each stage using that DE value collected
in each stage, the system will only use the first value entered during the
first visit for all the other
follow up visit

I understand if a program indicator is created for a specific program
stage, that should be ideally respected in analytics.

Please let us know if this is the behavior you expected this to have.

[Dhis2-devs] Calculating the duration of the process in Tracker capture

2016-05-04 Thread Pepe Ken Mvulu
Hi All,
I have a program with several stage (stage1, stage 2, stage3, stage 4).
For all stage, I define the cumulative deadlines.
For each stage, "Description of the reporting date" is the date of the end
of the activity of the stage.
How to create an indicator to calculate:

save and continue button does not respond.

Tried to empty cache but all in vain.

Re: [Dhis2-devs] Support of "IN" clauses in SQL Views / Queries?

2016-05-04 Thread Lars Helge Øverland
Hi Lorill,

good question - unfortunately, at the moment no.

This feature would clearly be useful though.

I have been thinking for a while that we should create a new API version of
the SQL view criteria/filtering that matches the syntax we have for the Web
API object filtering:

http://dhis2.github.io/dhis2-docs/master/en/developer/html/ch01s08.html

That way you could make filters e.g. like this:

/api/sqlViews/UuRVaRmfHwa/data.csv?filter=foo:eq:A2Kgu7zMgJr:in:[
azikLil2Nl1,bzikLil2Nl1]

Perhaps we could reuse some of the components we have for the Web API
filter here.

*Morten* - what do you think?

regards,

Lars

Re: [Dhis2-devs] [Dhis2-users] Digit group separator in pivot table - what should the default value be?

2016-05-04 Thread Bob Jolliffe
I *think* we discuss the space separator business purely related to
display. So when exporting to excel, or any other case where the
number is expected to be consumed as a number (including storage in
the database), exported via api in json/xml datavalueset etc there
should be no spaces, commas etc. Confusion on this would be a recipe
for disaster.

Everyone seems to agree that how numbers display should be
configurable. Though I thought the question was more what would be
the default appearance in the absence of any configuration. In which
case there are only two approaches: (i) pick something, in which case
space seems to be the most standard default, or (ii) infer something
based on the locale.

Re: [Dhis2-devs] DHIS 2 translation server Error

2016-05-04 Thread Jason Pickering
Hi Anil,
Please send me your user name directly (not on this list) and I will
activate you. I am working on getting that server back up and running
properly, but in the meantime, I can activate your account manually.

In terms of supporting the fork, this is not something really which is
currently in the workflow for this translation server. There is a
reasonably complex workflow to produce the PO files which the server uses,
sync all of these and then round-trip them back to Java properties files.
We have been supporting translation of the user-interface of trunk, but not
of forks.

I think it would be a lot easier for you to manage the translations
manually in your own branch, using tools such as PO Edit (
https://poedit.net/download) or Virtaal (http://virtaal.translatehouse.org/).
Alternatively, you may be able to use the DHIS2 resource editor (
https://www.dhis2.org/download/resources/dhis-i18n-resourceeditor.zip) This
tool is quite old and abandoned I think in terms of development, but it may
still work.

Alternatively, you could setup your own Pootle server, since it is also a
FOSS product (http://pootle.translatehouse.org/download.html).

So, if you would be interested in translating the trunk software, then I
think that is something we can help with, but given the complexity of our
current setup, I do not think we could support the translation of a branch
of trunk.

Regards,
Jason

Re: [Dhis2-devs] [Dhis2-users] Digit group separator in pivot table - what should the default value be?

2016-05-04 Thread Adedayo Adeyomoye
Hi Lars,

Since most people would export to excel and excel in turn would ignore the
space hence making it "no separator" option as you mentioned, I would suggest
that the comma be used as it quickly gives the number scale at a glance.

But whichever way, the majority carries the vote I guess.

Re: [Dhis2-devs] [Dhis2-users] Digit group separator in pivot table - what should the default value be?

2016-05-04 Thread Lars Helge Øverland
Hi all,

many thanks for all the feedback. Will make this configurable per system
then given the all the various opinions.

Another point of clarification: It seems that space is a preferred
separator in the Web based pivot table. However, when downloading to Excel,
it seems space is useless as it makes Excel interpret the cell as text, not
numbers.

So as a short term solution (which could be back-ported) could be that when
downloading to Excel, the system could fall back to no separator when space
is selected as separator. This because space never seems useful for Excel
spreadsheets.

Would that work?

Hi Jason,

Sorry for the late reply,

Thanks for the fix. I am able to register now. But i did not get any
activation link and hence still unable to login.

We are developing one of the features which is metadata sync (which will
eventually land in DHIS main release branch).
It is currently in one of our branches forked from DHIS 2.23 (
https://code.launchpad.net/~twoca-devs/dhis2/twoca_sync_2.23
).
This piece has backend as well as front end additions. The front end part
of it has changes to the 'Settings' and 'Data Administration' apps. So, we
would like to know if it would be possible to leverage the DHIS
translation server to do translations ?

Re: [Dhis2-devs] [Dhis2-users] Digit group separator in pivot table - what should the default value be?

2016-05-04 Thread Uwe Wahser
Good point: actually it's not only the digit group for pivot table, but rather
[digit group, decimal point, default number of decimals] for any [input, output,
import and export] that should be defined in the systems settings.

But I fear that the implications on the coding will be much bigger than what
Lars originally intended :-)

Re: [Dhis2-devs] [Dhis2-users] Digit group separator in pivot table - what should the default value be?

2016-05-04 Thread Morten Olav Hansen
In Vietnam it's also comma, so a system wide solution would be good (not
for output only, but only for input would be good.. if possible)

To me the most important way to address this is to allow an
implementation-wide default. The space character is in many ways the
"correct" separator according to international norms, and is even making
inroads into countries such as the US that traditionally use the comma. I
think the space is probably the best "factory" default for DHIS 2, so that
large numbers are readable on demonstration systems, and so we follow
 international and emerging standards.

However, an implementation should be able to override this with an
implementation-wide default of comma, where a preponderance of users for
that implementation are more used to this, and/or where exporting to Excel
 is a concern.

Expecting users to override the default every time they create a pivot
 table is not very user-friendly.
