Re: [Dhis2-users] Comments in the Event Report

2016-06-20 Thread Smith, Rebecca A.
A separate column for the comments would be ideal.

We’d be fine with popups or any other display style in the UI, as long as they
become separate columns in the Excel/CSV data download.

Thanks,
Becky

Hi Becky,

unfortunately - not at the moment.

Could you tell us where in event reports you would like comments to be visible?
It clearly makes sense in the "individual event overview" section (and not in
the aggregate events section) it seems.

[Dhis2-users] Comments in the Event Report

2016-06-20 Thread Smith, Rebecca A.
Hi DHIS team,

Is it possible to include the comments values (as entered in the Comment box on
the Event Capture data entry screen) in an Event Report?

So far, the only way we've found to retrieve the comments is by a SQL query to
the trackedentitycomment table, which is not very convenient.

Thanks for your assistance,

Hi Stian,

I wasn't able to find any documentation on specifying a namespace in the
manifest file. The links below were particularly helpful and I looked at
the java doc for AppManager api.

https://blueprints.launchpad.net/dhis2/+spec/general-purpose-data-store

https://code.launchpad.net/~stian-sandvold/dhis2/KeyJsonValue

Re: [Dhis2-users] Use of dataStore

2016-06-20 Thread Stian Sandvold
Hey,

seems like the documentation for specifying a namespace have disappeared, I
will add it back in when I get a chance!

In the mean time, it should be as simple as:

“activities”: {
“dhis”: {
“namespace”: “my_name_space”
}
}

I also see that there are some other discrepancies with the documentation
regarding the namespaces, which I will fix:

 - The name of the namespace reserved by an app does not need to be similar to
the app it self.
This way, different apps can share the same namespace, as long as the
user has the correct access to the apps.
- A namespace can only be reserved once
If you are trying to share a namespace between multiple apps, only one
of them can reserve it in the manifest, and users of the different apps all
need to be able to use the app with the reservation.

Hi Andrew,

It may be possible. Have a look here

http://dhis2.github.io/dhis2-docs/master/en/implementer/html/ch08s06.html

and take note of the limitations.

I would think long and hard about storing anything confidential in tracker
if I were you, as you probably need to completely rethink your setup and
how the information contained in the database is handled.

Jason
