Re: [Dhis2-users] How to Edit the date of enrollment/Listing TEI's in 2.29

2018-08-27 Thread Prosper BT
Hi Stanley,

Let me try to respond to your questions inline

I am using two instances,2.27 and 2.29 and i want to know how to edit the
enrolment date in my programs. Is there a way?
==> Unfortunately this feature is not yet supported in any version but
could be planned because many users have reported it as a limitation
especially in programs that dont require scheduling. The reason for not
allowing editing enrolment and incident dates was because they are used to
schedule and if they keep changing disorganise scheduling of both future
and past due dates. Need to check if there is a jira issue on this

Secondly, with versions below 2.27,one would easily list all TEI's across
and see how many have been enrolled. But with 2.29,i can not see where i can
easily extract that data once i open the Tracker capture.
==> As the tracker is becoming more popular and most users are capturing
identifiable attributes within sensitive programs like HIV and other
stigmatizable diseases/conditions, the design of the tracker have been
focused towards improving confidentiality. In 2.28 and below you could
easily search across all orgunits for all tracked entities registered
sometimes without specifying any search criteria. This is not possible
anymore, you need to set the searchable attributes and specific the
criteria while searching which may not be common for all tracked entities.

But to be able to get a list and aggregates of registered tracked entities
I recommend you use Events Report and aggregate on any mandatory attribute
in your program.

Hi Knut and Carlos,

Carlos which version of DHIS2 are you using?

Markus can add on this, but for program indicators using filters across
different stages, you will need to use Analytics type of enrolment.

Re: [Dhis2-users] Insight on program indicator and rule

2018-03-16 Thread Prosper BT
Hi Natalie,

In addition to Markus advice above, also check the you use of brackets,
they are not balanced

(d2:daysBetween(A{Date of birth},V{enrollment_date}) / 365) in this
expression, you are dividing before executing and calcultating the entire
days between, should be

(d2:daysBetween(A{Date of birth},V{enrollment_date})) / 365

But better to use years between as Markus advises

You need:-
1. Ensure the sharing settings include the user you are using (Public vs
shared with user groups)
2. Assign to an Orgunit unit that is also assigned to the user account you
are using
3. Added to the user role assigned to the user you are using
4. Clear cache and check back

Re: [Dhis2-users] questions about tracker (coordinates, attributes, visualization)

2017-12-05 Thread Prosper BT
Dear Natalie

Here are some responses to your questions

   - Why might a field for coordinates show up in the stages, but not in
the main program enrollment screen if I have checked “yes” to capturing
coordinates? (But the coordinates field DOES show up in tracker capture
using a computer, just not on the app)

If you need coordinates to show up on the enrolment as part of the
attributes, you will need to select yes to capture coordinates in the
tracker program design. And since you did then it should be an issues with
Andriod capture App.
Also try to use the latest Tracker capture Android 0.5.1 if you are running
DHIS2 2.28.
However note that in GIS program coordinates are not yet supported in
events layer.

   - What is the rationale for certain characteristics being attributes vs.
data elements? If I want to be able to visualize all the data - total
number enrolled, where, characteristics, stages - which should be
attributes of the tracked entity and which should be data elements?

Well there is no defined approach as it depends on the different use cases,
however it would be good to have identifier information as part of
attributes if its information that doesn't change (and even if it
changes you dont want to keep track of the changes) for the tracked entity
during longitudinal followup. Also if the identification info is too much
you can consider creating an initial non repeatable stage that can
accommodate the extra baseline or reg data.

Since enrolment analysis is not yet supported in Events report and Events
visualizer, you can only have attributes together with any program stage in
events reports.

   - In general I am having trouble visualizing tracked data - I made
program indicators for certain elements, is that the best way to visualize
tracker data? Tracker data elements are not even showing up in the data
   visualizer.

Its encouraged to use program indicators to analyse events and tracker
data. In pivot tables, visualizer and GIS you will only have sensible
analysis with program indicators not events data elements.

Re: [Dhis2-users] issues assigning users to org units for tracker capture

2017-11-23 Thread Prosper BT
Dear Natalie,

If you are using Android App please follow Elmarie's suggestion but if web
tracker capture then it must be another problem.

Which version are using using, we also experienced a similar problem with
assigning users in 2.28 when you assign and save then come back to edit,
you find the Orgunit units unselected. This was happening on our instance
2.28 but when we tested on the demo it wasnt happening so we had to update
to the latest instance.

Re: [Dhis2-users] Tracker programs and unique IDs

2017-11-17 Thread Prosper BT
Dear Edward and Stanley

Currently we have attribute Unique Identifiers with just simply random
generated number that could be set to be unique within Orgunits or entire
system. This is being expanded to address your need to customize to the use
cases pattern; check jira issue (DHIS2-434
) in progress for 2.29.
Please review the suggestions and add your comments.

Again you can use program rules (Assign) to construct the ID you are
describing; combination of names, age, place birth . if they are
corrected as attributes. The only challenge now will be that the generated
code will not be enforced for uniqueness.

Dear Siva,

For now you will have to assign the user to the different orgunits where
tracker data is entered, not just assigning to the parent orgunit.
Assignment to the parent Orgunit so as to access all children is not yet
supported in Android Tracker.

also has the same scorecard App and same indicators?

This feature is not yet supported but its a nice one, we will add it in
jira scorecard Epic Link.

Re: [Dhis2-users] One-time referrals

2017-09-21 Thread Prosper BT
Dear George,

I guess by one-time you mean, the ability for a user to search across all
orgunitss, select the tracked entity in different orgunits and enter stage
data.

You can achieve this by giving all tracker capture entry users the
authority "Search TEI in all Orgunits"

Then in the user names; assign the users from where to search

NOTE: If you do the above all users will access to other partners entries
all the time and can search them across especially if you allow them to
search the entire tree. So if you implementation is where you dont want
partners to see the others entries, this will not be possible.

2017-09-20 Thread Prosper BT
Hi Timothy,

Nice suggestion and was recently thinking about the same functional and
trying to write it up in jira.

For entry of tracker events data in tabular format with same event data
like list of trainees on the same day:-
- Allow flexibility of moving the events add button to within the entry
space so it feels like a user is entering/adding next row
- At the same time allow the next event date to autfill the last date

Lets discuss this and see if its a feasible feature for this use case and
many more similar ones.

Re: [Dhis2-users] Training register design question

2017-09-20 Thread Prosper BT
Dear George,

Thanks for sharing the use case.

Basically the design will depend on the final output/analysis required out
of this tracking. So the two approaches you shared are all possible and
feasible but first deep dive into the analysis.

1. If they interested in how many trainings an individual has attends? then
you will have the trainee as a tracked entity with a stage to capture all
the different training they attend,

2. If its training sessions they are interested in, i.e how many sessions
and number of training and number of participants for the different
sessions, then you have training as a tracked entity with options for
different sessions, then a stage to record all the participants per
training.

Dear Timothy,

What version are you running? We experienced the same at one point but
because we keep upgrading to the latest build of 2.27, it was later no
more. I cant remember the exact build number.

But try upgrading to the latest build and see.

Re: [Dhis2-users] User permissions - view visuals specific Org unit and not children

2017-09-07 Thread Prosper BT
Dear Scott,

The only workaround is if the users have access to dashboards only and not
access to analytics tools where the objects are created so as not to be
able to drill down.

Otherwise once you grant access to the parent orgunit then they will have
access to children orgunits and this is the power of DHIS2 that you can
drill down especially when conducting data error and issues checks.

Is there a way of configuring the instance so that by default all
favorites are not public (public acces=none), i.e. by default only the
creator of the favorites can see it and then he can chose to share it with
 user groups?

Hi Georgi,

Sorry for filters yes you should have attributes and write the expression.

Tried to replicate it on the demo server, and seems to be a bug but if you
first save it and come back to edit it you will be able to see the

Hi Georgi,

The fact that all are text is why you dont see them in the expression using
attributes and data elements is only for numeric. For that case you should
be using variables and you are either counting events etc..

Dear Georgi,

Thanks for sharing, it very difficult to understand the cause from the
screen captures.
Check also the computer date setting to make sure its not set in the past.
You can also share the screen captures of the stage settings for this

Otherwise it may require you to assign using the option set code.

Dear Lin,

Can you share your usecase - how you want to use the tracker.

Take an example below, we need to register a household and relate household
to a household member program. So we create two program with registration
[image: Inline image 1]

Then in editing the Household program, we pick Household members as the Program
for new relative to be enrolled in.

Re: [Dhis2-users] Data Elements sharing functionality

2017-05-18 Thread Prosper BT
Dear Kristiyan,

Meta data sharing is key to solving your requirement. You will need to
group the users into different user groups and under maintenance data
elements provide view access to those you want to see and and no public
access. Only user in the group granted view access will be able to see it
in analysis.

Dear Stanley

The program validation rules dont work and replaced with program rules. You
can do all you want with program rules.

Re: [Dhis2-users] Adding two programs Indicators

2017-05-17 Thread Prosper BT
Dear Stanley,

Your filter can include all these Where sex ='Male' or Sex="Female and
Age<=20

But if you still want to keep the 2 indicators separate, then you can use
the Aggregate indicators to add the two program indicators.

Re: [Dhis2-users] [Dhis2-devs] Calculation of conditional Indicators

2017-05-10 Thread Prosper BT
Dear Ola,

Thanks for sharing this workaround, the two challenges may be wanting to
keep same data with the aggregate data in entry because most of the time
its within one form and may be inconveniencing switching between entry
screens.

Remember we had suggested to write a script that can update single event
data elements to use program indicators that can in turn be used as
aggregate indicators for scorecard and BNA indicators.

>From the core development team is ther as way we can use aggregate
indicators or both data element in aggregate and events so as to use
program indicators for this. Its becoming very critical for analysis of
logistics, HR, Scorecard and BNA indicators.

The scorecard team is building up something John and Eric can share
progress.

This is related to how you configured the user's search facility, instead
of assigning the entire Orgunit tree, you picked a number of levels

Re: [Dhis2-users] Report on time is showing Zero

2017-02-20 Thread Prosper BT
Dear Gerald,

Timely reporting depends on of the deadline (Days after period quality for
timely submission) set on your dataset, Can you check the days you set,
usually its 15 days by default and since you are entering data after 15
days and assuming you have a monthly frequency, everything you enter will
be overdue and not count as timely submitted.

Re: [Dhis2-users] TRACKER ERROR

2016-11-28 Thread Prosper BT
Hi Stanely,

You have program rules that hide some data elements or sections and you
need to check the actions you implemented, basically when you use hide data
element or section, if you had entered data before in a field hidden by an
given action or entry, then data will be deleted and thats what the error
message you are getting means.

Again if you also user the action "Show error preventing completion", if
you have this and there is an error then you cant complete.

Please review you program rules

Hi Channara,

Did you assign it an option set or cat-comb or grouped it in a group or
even assigned it to a dataset or program,

You have to check all these before deleting it.

Re: [Dhis2-users] Program Indicator calculations, Converting Dates in Months or Years

2016-11-04 Thread Prosper BT
Hi Andrew,
See this related emails from Markus

.
The d2:yearsBetween() is not yet supported in the server side aggregation
of program indicators. For now you would have to use d2:daysBetween() / 365
- which is not 100% correct as the leap years is not considered. You wrote
d2daysBetween in your mail below(without the colon between d2 and
daysBetween), but i assume that was a typo in the mail.
If you used the expression
*d2:daysBetween(A{yourDateOfBirthAttributeUID},V{event_date})
/ 365* that should work fine on both the server and client side. Let me
know if this was the expression you tried. Note that the attribute UID
should be prefixed with A.

In the dev instance the example indicators on the MNCH / PHC program use
the V{event_date} as basis for the age calculation. This causes the
indicators to be calculated to NaN until you enter an event date. If you do
not explicitly want the age at the event, you can use V{enrollment_date}
instead.

Markus

P.S. The attributes of type date is not shown in the expression part of the
Program Indicator UI, only in the filter further down. This is all getting
reworked and sorted out soon, but as a workaround for avoiding typos you
can add the attribute in the filter part of the UI then cut'n'paste.

Re: [Dhis2-users] Program indicators: how to calculate the proportion of female?

2016-11-03 Thread Prosper BT
Dear Lise,

You will need to create two program indicators

1. Count the number of patients enrolled
2. Count the number of patients enrolled who are Female

Then go to Aggregate Indicators and create an indicator using program
Indicators with Indicator 2 as numerator and Indicator 1 and denominator.

Then this can be analyzed in Pivot tables as an aggregate indicator

Re: [Dhis2-users] Fwd: Secundary geographical data needed for analysis

2016-10-24 Thread Prosper BT
Thanks Marc

You explained well then I guess you have to implement both the Orgunit tree
for where then

For patient location, you may either use the new Orgunit data element type
if it happens that the same villages in the Orgunit tree are the same as
where the patients come from.

Alternatively they have to option sets

Re: [Dhis2-users] Gray field in default data entry form

2016-09-21 Thread Prosper BT
Dear Nayeem,

Is this for tracker or aggregate. By default I guess you are meaning
section forms in aggregate.
Which version are you using?

For 2.24 and probably lower version dont have copies to check with, You
need to have your data set in sections, and under section management you
will see "Manage Grey fields"

Hoping this helps,

Regards

Re: [Dhis2-users] Tracker data entry gadget display is not displaying any thing

2016-09-20 Thread Prosper BT
Dear Brajesh,

You will need the data entry or tabular data entry turned on in the
widgets, if you need to enter data in the stages.

Also depending on whether you set the stages to auto load,

if you designed the stage to aut-generate event, it should should
automatically display for you to enter the report date and continue,

if not, then under data entry, you will need to click on the event add
button (+) and enter the date, save to continue data entry.

Re: [Dhis2-users] Aggregation on tracker data

2016-09-06 Thread Prosper BT
Dear Antonia,

Which version are you using?

You can achieve this two ways

1. Program Indicators, create 5 program indicators with filter for each age
band. Used in pivot table, visualizer and GIS
2. Create a legend with these age bands and assign the legend to the
attribute Age. Used in Event report and events visualizer

Re: [Dhis2-users] Sharing a TEI only with selected users who have access to the orgunit

2016-08-15 Thread Prosper BT
Dear Elmarie,

Are the other users assigned to these orgunits supposed to access some
parts of this tracker program?

If yes, then design the program and use user roles to restrict access,
create a user role and assign the program to it and that user role should
be only assigned to the users supposed to view the program.

If No, and want some users to see some parts or stages and not the others,
its not yet supported - sharing program stages.

Your assumption is right,

For all data elements in the stage, its based on Report date while for
attributes queries uses the registration date.

Re: [Dhis2-users] [Dhis2-devs] Confirming Data Variable Used to Calculate Period using Aggregation Query Builder

2016-08-03 Thread Prosper BT
Dear Stephen,

The aggregate query builder aggregates data on a daily basis so you have
daily totals and depending on which period you choose to populate the in
the dataset, it will add up all the daily totals to the period of the
dataset. Say if you have monthly dataset being populated, it will add up
all the days in that month and produce your monthly report.

Then later in pivot tables all the data elements will have totals according
to the period and you can aggregate further upwards monthly to quarterly
etc..

But as Morten shared, the aggregate query builder has been dropped and
replaced with program indicators, so you may need to start thinking of
converting you queries to program indicators.

Dear Stanley,

Sorry for no response for a long time. I have tried to replicate it on 2.24
and its not working for enrollment only event.

We need to report it as a bug.

Re: [Dhis2-users] Pivot table for reporting rate

2016-07-23 Thread Prosper BT
Dear Carlos,

This usually happens when you have Orgunit in different Orgunits groups
that belong to the same Orgunit group Set.

For example You have a facility both in Hospital and Clinic orgunit
groups, then both Hospital and Clinic are part of one Orgunit group
"Facility Type".

Use the Data integrity check under "Data Administration" to find out which
ones violate Orgunits group set.

Organisation units violating exclusive group sets

Re: [Dhis2-users] Pivot Table Computation Error on 2.24

2016-07-17 Thread Prosper BT
Dear Gerald,

You may need to share more information especially on the rates using 2.21.
To see the margin difference.

Could it be that in 2.21 there are alot of new facilities what were being
created moving forward that caused change in reporting rates for the
previous periods when the facilities were not expected to report?

With 2.24, reporting rates are based on when the facility was created i.e
the opening date of the facility

Expected reports based on org unit opening and closed date: For reporting
rates in analytics, the number of expected reports is now calculated based
on whether the organisation units assigned to the data set were open or not
for the aggregation period. As an example, if you ask for reporting rates
for a district for June, and one of the facilities within the district was
not open until August, that facility will not be included in the number of
expected reports.

Re: [Dhis2-users] Program Indicator question

Thanks Markus,

There are many use cases for this scenario for both displaying in the
tracked entity dashboard and also including in line listing event reports.

Wish you can work on availing the calculated field using program rules in
the UI.

Re: [Dhis2-users] [Dhis2-devs] Capture coordinates

2016-06-12 Thread Prosper BT
Dear Sergio

If this is for the purpose of analysing events data and all events data are
collected and should have registering facility coordinates then I dont
think you need to capture coordinates for each event. because even if you
collect individual events coordinates which are the same as facility, you
will have them all appear at facility in GIS.

I think you would rather use program indicator and build aggregate report
indicators that you can use in GIS to display how many events are at each
facility.

Re: [Dhis2-users] HOW DO I DISAGGREGATE CLIENT BASED DATA-TRACKER

2016-04-13 Thread Prosper BT
Dear Stanley

You will need to create each individual category indicator separately, say
this was disaggregated by gender and age the same will have to be done.

Examples Malaria disaggregated by Male/Female and Under5 or Over 5 the
indicators would be

1. Malaria Male under 5
2. Malaria Female under 5
3. Malaria Male over 5
4. Malaria Female over 5

So 4 indicators will have to be constructed for the above report
