The latter. I realize the former would really be good
because it avoids reliance on Java, but that sound like
two steps an once, and I'd like to focus on the petal
to dia translation.

Thanks for your reply.
Yes, I've been looking at CrazyBeans.
My question was really just a check to avoid duplication
of effort in case someone was already working on it.
I plan to give it a try during the Holidays.

Comment field at UML elements

2002-11-20 Thread Oliver Kellogg
What do you people think of adding a comment field
to each UML element?

This could help when considering a transition from Rose.

petal2dia?

2002-11-20 Thread Oliver Kellogg
Hi,

Is there a path for transitioning Rose models to dia/UML?

Thanks,

Re: UML: Logically associating stuff with a package

2002-11-18 Thread Oliver Kellogg
Lars,

Thanks for the reply.
In fact it was a stupid question after all - at least dia2code
magically "knows" about the nesting in the package. I have made
a patch to dia2code's CORBA IDL generation which exploits this feat:

http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=639427&group_id=15307&a
tid=315307

Along another line, is there a way to tell dia about the ordering
of associations? For the time being the user has no control over
the order in which code for associations is generated by dia2code?

Thanks again,

Oliver

UML: Logically associating stuff with a package

2002-11-12 Thread Oliver Kellogg
Hi,

I am just starting to use dia for UML diagrams and apologize
if this is a stoopid beginner's question:

How do I tell dia that classes are embedded inside a package?

(Physically placing them inside the package doesn't seem to
do the trick.)

Thanks,

Oliver
