RE: Dia 0.85 locking GNOME for input

When trying to move objects around GNOME/X freezes. The cursor still moves, the ruler still tracks the cursor, but I can not make *any* window active. No window is listening for mouse events. Dia still seems to have the keyboard because control keys still get responses, but mouse clicks produce nothing. Additionally, I can't make any other window active. I'll upgrade both my gnome and my dia. I looked in the archives but didn't see this bothering anyone else. RHAT 6.2 Dia 0.85 I'm unsure what GNOME version I'm running, but will be upgrading from Helix to XIMIAN Gnome 1.4 in a few minutes. i know someone having the same problem but WITHOUT GNOME $ uname -a Linux gerfaut2 2.2.14-5.0 #1 Tue Mar 7 21:07:39 EST 2000 i686 unknown $ ls -l /usr/X11/bin/X lrwxrwxrwx1 root root8 mar 14 17:37 /usr/X11R6/bin/X - Xwrapper $ wmaker --version Window Maker 0.61.1 is gnome running hmmm... ps -edf NO dia --version V 0.86 ??? strange luccio
RE: dia Win32 Installer 0.88
there's a new version of the dia Win32 Installer Great! Once again, it's build from Hans' dia Win32 version. It would be nice if someone could test it before the 'official' announcement. ***close: - open dia - new - add an object to diagram - close dia via the standard [x] - modified diagram exists. are you sure you want to quit: Cancel -- main panel disappear ***file format: saving diagrams with texts on several lines include extra character at end of line. see attached files. luccio winsave1save.dia winsave1save.png winsave2save.dia winsave2save.png
not exactly a bug
Hi, Using the first element of a class (for example: "ER") then wanted to use the first element of another class (=crapy diagram ;) but anyway, the button is already selected - and clicking on it have no effect, the previous object is still selected (the "ER" one)... have to select another one, then this one (...) at least with winXX version of dia 0.86, using the "reset tools after create" option to "no". -- luccio
RE: Just a idea: connection lines insted of points
having used dia to play a little bit I had the idea that the concept of connection lines instead of points would bring many benefits. to have more connection points to a class, i'm matching a standard line along the class from corner to corner, and add more connections to the line with the middle mouse menu in order to have connections to the class... luccio
