[digitalradio] WinDRM setup

2008-09-12 Thread Ian Wade
I am trying to get WinDRM working. I don't know the version number, but
it's the one included in windrm-23-jul-08.zip.

It is running on a Dell laptop (Windows XP Home), with a:

1. built-in SigmaTel Audio soundcard.
2. built-in QuickCam for Dell Notebook microphone.
3. USB telephone handset.

I am using the SigmaTel for the RX input and TX output.

I am using the USB handset for the voice input and voice output.

(These are the same devices that I used to use for FDMDV).

Everything seems to work except for the USB voice output. When I click
on Soundcard > Open Mixer > Voice Output, the "Capture" volume control
for the QuickCam mic pops up, instead of the "Speaker" control for the
USB device.

Any ideas on what's going wrong here?

[digitalradio] Re: MT63 freq ?

2008-09-12 Thread expeditionradio
We haven't seen MT63 on 14109 for several years.
It is mostly ALE and PACTOR.
It seems that MT63 is dead, except for a few
bulletins among MARS and UK emcomm.

[digitalradio] Icom IC-746 Pro For Sale

Hey everyone,

I've decided to keep my PS-125 power supply so I'm re-advertising my 746
Pro. Comes with hand microphone, downloaded copy of service and owners manual
in PDF format, power cable, hard copy of owners manual and schematics, and
original box. As stated before, this radio was sent to me by Burghardts as a
replacement for one that was lost by UPS. Verified serial number through Icom
and was told that this was indeed a factory replacement. They also told me
that it has all the current factory modifications and updates. $1100 plus
shipping and insurance if requested. Was originally going to use the cash from
this sale to go towards a 756 Pro 3 but have some other obligations that have
come up for now. Pics and my phone number can be sent on request.

Thanks
Paul

Re: [digitalradio] Monitoring merchant vessel Antalina ?

Keep them in your prayers!

Evidently they used VHF marine, or possibly HF. They are in the Gulf of Mexico,
so ship-to-shore freqs are probably possible.

In a related story, I live on the North Coast of California, and in 1991 I
talked to a boat 75 miles out (west) with an AM Citizens Band radio using only
2 watts (before I got my Ham License).

The antenna was a center-loaded "trucker's" mirror mount antenna I nailed to
the peak of a 1-story house about 100 feet above sea-level.

I live in an apartment now, antenna restrictions, arghhh!!!
