 - Fix a couple of incoming-email-related crashes
 - Fix allowing the user to click Upload or Connect in Files tab when
   no  callsign is selected
 - Make proxy application work on packets instead of the raw data stream
 - Remove duplicated to/from fields in the email form, since routing   info
 - Change "Send" to "Forward" in the messages toolbar to clarify what
you're doing when you manually send something somewhere
 - Add a form logo path configuration element and make the form logo file
  relative to that
 - Add a list of available logo files to the logo path edit box
 - Add DVDongle support (preliminary, there are still issues with this)
 - Add capability to specify a negative transmission delay that selects
between 0.5 and abs(X) on each transmission
 - Add a Default GPS Message configuration element that controls what is
returned during a remote position request
 - Add port name to chat status notification
 - Add a fabricated subject for forms that don't have a subject field
 - Add suggestion of the destination station on a form send
 - Add email functionality to the message router so that they
  automatically get handled there
 - Add http proxy function for fetching map images
 - Add locking to prevent opening a message while it's being transferred
and to prevent it from being transferred while it's being edited
 - Add a method to launch the proxy application from the File - Tools menu
 - Add image detection and the image tool to the "Send file" function in
  the stations list

Should be posted officially on the web site in a little bit...

Re: [digitalradio] RSID numbers

2009-10-23 Thread Patrick Lindecker
Hello Jose,

Yes you are right. To put all the variants, it would be needed many more
bits, perhaps as many bits as for the Call ID (56).
Yes it would need a specific protocol and, necessarily, would need a more
complicated updating.

The present RS ID is limited to the main modes and it is finally rather
simple, so...

I have not used MixW in a long time and my memories might be a bit
innacurate, but in MixW you set the basic modulation and choose the
arguments in a
cascading menu. Say, you choose RTTY, and in the modem configuration you
choose shift and speed. On PSK you may choose the signalling speed, and
so on.I believe Same with Olivia, choosing BW and tones. I believe
FLdigi is equally capable of doing so, but I have used it ocassionally
as it is distributed,
"off the box".

I am afraid that "to cover all bases" you must use a modulation code
with additional arguments, as a limited nunbers pool may not be able to
describe all variants.

It has a cost, a longer RSID which is likely to be not welcome. A
solution I would like is not mess with what works and assign a longer
code for rarer, not yet
described modes.Of course, it would require a new RSID protocol version.

Just a suggestion.

Hello Rein,

OK, I'll prepare these numbers and will give you them to morrow (in fact I
will update the RS ID list).

Re: [digitalradio] Flarq Basic Question

2009-10-23 Thread Rein Couperus
On a VHF repeater you could use BPSK500 or BPSK1000, I have just sent the
patches for fldigi...

I am testing those modes now on RF with pskmail, and the speed is INCREDIBLE...

[digitalradio] Flarq Basic Question

2009-10-23 Thread T.O.M.Bent
Our locals would like to start testing\learning flarq.

My question is what are the better modes when using flarq on a 2m fm repeater?

It could also be ask, is 2m fm repeater the best way to operate ARQ in a local
area?

[digitalradio] Testing 30M PSKMAIl : PSK250-MFSK16-THOR22 Rotation

2009-10-23 Thread obrienaj
Here is something to play with if you are bored today.

While reading and learning some more about PSKMAIL with Fldigi, I will be QRV
on 10147 (dial, and 1000Hz on waterfall) BUT changing modes on a schedule. The
software is set to change the server's modes

Starting at the top of the hour, the schedule is:

00 PSK250
01 PSK250
02 MFSK16
03 THOR 22
04 THOR 22

and repeating the cycle

05 PSK250

If you connect, you will stay in the same mode until disconnected.

I think PSKMAIL can be set up so that it detects RS ID and switches modes but I
have not got that far yet. More experimenting...

Actually, to send such a short mail it is not even necessary to connect.
Just type 'em...@address texttextetxtmessage' and hit the ENTER key...
