Hello Scott, non-selective QSO in ARQ FAE It is to call any Ham, mainly for a QSO. selective QSO in ARQ FAE To call some precise Ham (for eaxmple, to leave a message to an ARQ FAE beacon). wanted to try ALE400 but find the MultiPSK interface fairly impenetrable, i.e. if you don't mind me fumbling through it!! Listened, called, didn't hear anything. 20M is usually pretty shut down when I'm home in the evening (after 8 local). Too bad you don't have 80M. If anyone in the northeast wants to try 80M some evening (NVIS path) let me know. I was maintaining 7plus installation package and other HAM applications for SuSE Linux in Prague when I was a student. There is one neat thing about 7plus. 7plus files have standard header and tail. The packet radio modems often snipped out the 7plus sections from their RX window and stored them into appropriate files. Some applications even executed the 7plus utility to decompress the data when all pieces were received. There were even programs, that extracted 7plus files from monitor. I cannot understand why you don't use the pskmail arq binary mail attachment feature for this. 7 plus was developed for the ancient packet BBS system around 1978 (which means it is 30 years old). We have more modern protocols now... Using the mail attachment system has a lot of advantages for NBEMS work.
