[board-discuss] [4.0] Review
Hi to all board members, as 4.0.0 is rolled out there should be a review about what happened: The good points, the bad points What can we do in the same way, what in a better way the next time? What is needed to get it better? A discussion may cause some budget thoughts, community handling, marketing concepts, Whiteboards, Easy Hacks etc. IMHO the board should be the starting point and the lead of such a discussion to give it a direction for the whole community. Before the foundation is formally setup, I don't think joining somewhere is really possible, anyway? I think it is, but on the other hand we can vote positively now, but only proceed to join when we are properly set up. Even the membership registration process takes time there. So we can decide now and execute in 2 months or so. If you do it in 2 months there will be (soon) a voted Board of Directors to determine this. Maybe the SC - as non-voted - only give a recommendation for the BoD and put it all in this direction put don't fix it. So it will be a (first) decision of the new BoD. So some questions: - what would be the best period (imho the Friday and Saturday is still a good idea)? - who would be available and when (on the 2 days, we will see the exact date later) ? - who would like to prepare a presentation of the different QA tasks (mostly BZ, but speaking a bit of the tests would be good too). It has been mentioned before, but not fixed apparently - as far as I know the cause is not clear yet. Once I did suggest one possible root of the problem, but until now did not spend any time to find it out. Would you be willing to help with some information? If so: with the first installation of LibreOffice, did you have a version of OpenOffice.org installed? In that case, it is quite likely that with the first start of LibreOffice (parts of) your old user profile are imported. Then I expect that there is some data in the registry, in the user profile, that is responsible for the link to the OpenOffice.org page. Maybe we can find out what it is? I have had the same Thank you website. My system: WIN7 64bit (SP1) I had installed OOo but deinstalled a longer time ago. I'm getting this website every time when I'm installing a new LibO. Before I install a new LibO I always deinstall the prior but don't delete the user. Now I have deinstalled LibO again, clean the registry automatically with a programm (ccleaner). After that I clean the registry by searching for openoffice.org, ooo, staroffice and soffice. After that I installed LibO 3.3.1 (OOO330m19 (Build:8) tag libreoffice-3.3.1.2). I got the website again. And, if I have a look in the system control - program - programm and functions and clicking on LibreOffice 3.3 I get the message: Supportlink and Hilfelink and Updateinformation: http://de.openoffice.org. Only the Kommentare: LibreOffice 3.3. I deinstalled it again. After that I deleted in Benutzer-AppData-...-Roaming the folders OpenOffice.org and LibreOffice. Delete the installation folder and the LibreOffice folder in Programme (x86). After a restart of the system I installed LibreOffice 3.3.1 again and I got the same message. Maybe this could help a little bit. -- Grüße k-j -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to discuss+h...@documentfoundation.org Archive: http://listarchives.documentfoundation.org/www/discuss/ *** All posts to this list are publicly archived for eternity ***

[tdf-discuss] Discussion about TDF and LibO
Hi, on the german mailing list there is a discussion about the 'difference' between TDF and LibreOffice [1]. There Christoph Noack gave a short statement [2]. Now we started a wiki-page in german [3] with this text and we want to invite you to discuss, work on it and translate it for your users [4]. Maybe we can put a link on both websites (TDF and LibO) to this page.
