[tdf-discuss] Re: deb installer - have to manually modify link
I will fix this right now. I only unpublished the page while trying out some pages I'd created (it is a *test* site after all)... While you're at it could you please add Portuguese (pt) to the script? Also, there is a mirror in Portugal which has not been updated since Beta1 http://mirrors.fe.up.pt/pub/tdf/ Portuguese ISPs in some cases have a ceiling for international downloads so it would be nice if this mirror could be updated. If I want to download the deb, I have to manually change rpm to deb in the URL. Would it be possible to provide one link to the .deb and on to the rpm on the download page? Thanks, Rainer I agree. I use the RPM version and it works quite well for this, but it would also be nice to put a Linux DEB download button(s) or make some other type of arrangements till the www.test.libreoffice.org site goes live. The download site as it stands is probably frustrating a lot of users who are interested in helping out. Even our own DEB members are frustrated over this situation. Can anything be done over this? People should declare changes on the website list when they have changed a section of the site. I also find this a bit disturbing. I only unpublished the page while trying out some pages I'd created (it is a *test* site after all)... +1 for getting the site online by the end of the week! ;-) David Nelson I agree with David here. We should not publish as it is right now as it is simply not ready. Let's give David and others at least the rest of the week for all of us to push our a site that is at the very least a good static site. As it stands now it is not ready. David is doing excellent work on putting on some content. We'll need just a little time to review for corrections and small formatting changes if necessary. I also agree with Michael suggesting that we not overdevelop the site seeing as the Drupal will go live in a short while and we should concentrate further web development time on the Drupal site.
