Another fun IxDA Los Angeles event! This time we'll be talking about the art
of Storytelling. As interaction designers, we should always be honing our
storytelling skills. Steve Portigal spoke about this need in his article on
Core77 called "Design Research: Practice noticing stuff and telling
stories," http://www.core77.com/hack2school/portigal.asp. This salon will
focus on how we can use storytelling in our design practice to create better
interactions and communicate our designs in a way that resonates with our
audiences.

We'll hear from seasoned, storytelling experts over yummy food, cookies and
hot cocoa. Get into the holiday spirit with us as we learn from our terrific
speakers: A team from Disney will be sharing their fantastic techniques for
using storyboards to communicate design. They'll explain how and when to
incorporate storyboarding into your design process to make the most impact.
We'll also hear from a trans-media storyteller who has been spearheading a
project to breath new life into storytelling by telling tales from classic
literature through new media (Think Pride & Prejudice told via Facebook!).
More details to comeā€¦

Join us to learn how storytelling can bring YOUR designs to life in the
minds of your stakeholders and customers.
