Hi All, All members who have interest in participating in the GIS/SDI Community of IDABC's Open Source Observatory and Repository are welcome to join at http://www.osor.eu/communities/gis/gis-software-community The Community's goal is to promote the exchange of software and experience in this field, and to encourage the use and collaborative development of community-led projects. We look forward for your participation. In the Philippines, geospatial technologies are often used in: property/parcel tax mapping zoning development planning However, in most cases these domains are loosely integrated. Sometimes the GIS in the planning division doesn't communicate with the assesor's office in terms of data management. What we are looking for are stories that integrate FOSS GEO tools in the overall IT infrastructure. I know some of the strategies maybe institutional rather than technical in nature. What technologies do we need (dbase managment, server, desktop apps)? How do we provide capacity to local government staff? How do we integrate the data into planning? Re: [OSGeo-Discuss] Usermap
Thanks Bob, that $wgLogo is just the default mediawiki Logo, it says how to replace it with your own picture in the mediawiki settings. I was just to lazy to set up a own logo, because that wiki is (for now) just for testing. ;-) regards, Christian Bruce, Bob (CON) schrieb: Hi Christian: I have found it to be a nice easy interface to use. This significantly improves the usermap. However, I am curious about the message at the top left of the page about $wgLogo - is this meant to be there and if so, how do we use it? I installed a wiki as a test playground for testing the new features of the usermap described here - http://wiki.christian-willmes.de/index.php/Usermap_user_documentation The test wiki is accessible from here - http://wiki.christian-willmes.de/ Anybody can create an account and play with it. So feel free to do so and report the bugs you find to me or leave a note here - http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Usermap-develop If the community agrees with the new features, I will be happy to install it to the osgeo wiki. best regards, Christian ___ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss ___ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss -- Christian Willmes AG GIS Fernerkundung | GIS RS Group Geographisches Institut | Institute of Geography Universität Köln| University of Cologne http://www.geographie.uni-koeln.de/gis/ Tel.: +49 (0)221 470 6234 ___ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss
