just tried installing geodas in Wine,and it worked perfectly. installed wine in
Poseidonlinux 3.2, inserted the geodas dvd, clicked on the installer.exe,
right-clicked and chose open with, selected wine, and followed the installer
prompts. resulting installer works for search,content, reformatter and
hydroplot.

i had discusios wit the developer before he retired. the liux suite is not as
developed as the windows version, that icludes the data tools and the viewer.
the website echos his opinion, strongly urging the use of the windows version.
