[OSGeo-Discuss] Geospatial devroom at FOSDEM 2016?!

Hi all,

Just like last year [1], I would like to organise a geospatial devroom
at FOSDEM[2].The call for devrooms is now open [3], and I'm going to
submit another proposal.

Last year, we had a large team promoting the devroom which lead to a
very interesting schedule. If you would like to be part of the team,
please add yourself to the draft proposal [4] or drop me a mail.

Note that the deadline for proposals is already this friday, so don't pospone!

Hi,

FYI: yes, I'm in contact with Martin Landa (*very* close friend of mine)
and Lena Halounova (we know each other for some years).

I could volunteer as on-spot contact person between OSGeo and ISPRS LOC, if
needed, but certainly you guys, who are active at ISPRS will have
possibility to influence things too.


I do call for coordination of activities though, because OSGeo should speak
with one voice (or at least with harmonised voices). Therefore I suggest
wiki page for OSGeo participation at ISPRS

Yes, thanks! The Wiki pare can be a means for collaborating. 
You, Martin and I can coordinate the effort at different levels. 
If we are able to organizing a Skype meeting among us, it would be wonderful.

[OSGeo-Discuss] FedGeoDay 2015

Dear Everyone,

(x-posted to LocationTech & OSGeo discussion lists, please fwd to any 
who might be interested)


On Thursday October 15th, FedGeoDay  will be 
returning to Washington D.C..


This one day conference runs from 9am to 5pm and features an incredible 
line-up of speakers, technologies, initiatives, and use cases. It is a 
wonderful learning opportunity and the warm camaraderie makes it a lot 
of fun for all. The low cost is really nice as well!


I'll be attending again this year. I hope to see some of you there.
