You can use for example GRASS GIS for processing data coming in as batch.
GRASS GIS itself uses GDAL for te data exchange.
We use it in our satellite data processing chain but it can process
any kind of geospatial data.
Furthermore, full time series processing is supported, see [1].

[OSGeo-Discuss] RDA Europe financial support to Early Career and Experts to attend the 11th RDA Plenary meeting, 21-23 March 2018, Berlin

The RDA 11th Plenary will be held in Berlin, 21 to 23 March 2018, gathering 
leading data scientists and practitioners, policy makers and private sector 
representatives. To support the participation of both Early Career researchers 
and Experts to its 11th Plenary, RDA Europe launched two dedicated calls, 
offering financial support through a series of grants of up to €1750 covering 
travel, accommodation and registration costs for the successful applicants.

Both Calls for applications close on 26th February 2018, midnight CET
