is a pleasure to me to be nominated as OSGeo Charter Member.

I am working in OSGeo from some years ago but almost always in the Spanish
Chapter and in the spanish-speaking world doing presentations, courses or
workshops with the OSGeo software and always evangelizing about the
benefits of the OSGeo Foundation. Like Jorge says, this year, with the
inestimable help of another OSGeo-es members, we organized in Vigo, Galicia
(a very nice place :-D) the first geocamp.es, an unconference about GIS and
geo themes.

I am always trying to participate more actively in the OSGeo Foundation at
international level, I hope to do it soon

 It is great to see so much enthusiasm on the email list with the Charter
 membership nominations. A reminder that a lot of the action is at the OSGeo
 committee level.

 With that in mind the incubation committee is looking for volunteers to help
 mentor projects. This is a great way to get involved with the foundation,
 meet new people and new projects and champion the ideals of our foundation
 where it matters (i.e. close the to code!).

 If you are interested in helping out - please sign up to the Mailing List
 and introduce yourself.
