I would also like to add my support for Ian. Ian has been chair of the OSGeo:UK chapter over the past year and has been an important member of the FOSS4G 2013 local organising committee. The enthusiasm and energy he has shown in both of these roles would benefit the wider OSGeo community. Ian has also championed the use of open source software in UK government through his role at the Met Office. Hi, I'd also like to add my support for the nomination of Ian Edwards for Board. Ian has been an important part of the OSGeo community in the UK for a while and is in particular crucial to the successful delivery of the FOSS4G 2013 conference with his particular focus on the GeoHack not to mention running a workshop + OSGeo Live, presentations, stalls, chair sessions, BoF ...While that all adds up to this being the 'must attend' Geo event of 2013, it also shows the contribution he could make to OSGeo. Further to Barend's post I'd like to add my support for Ian's nomination to the OSGeo Board. Ian demonstrates huge passion for and commitment to OSGeo and the wider free and open software movement.
