Congratulations to him. Looks cool.

You Americans are always so obsessed with safety :) but I believe
outside big cities people might use something like this over here, too.

Is there also a web service?

I'm in Hungary, paid apps are normally supported, still squeeze
commander does not appear in android market.

Anyway, I managed to get it via slideme, thanks! Works nicely.

In old firmware you could fix the digital to 100% and still use the
analog out. Why they removed this ?

Xilink reset too after the factory reset

[slim] Help! analogue outputs on SB3 are muted ?

2010-11-29 Thread praganj

Hi,

I sold my SB3 on ebay to somebody, and he tells that the analogue
outputs are not working, spdif and optical works.

I was using SB3 mostly with a dac and there was one (volume) advanced
setting on the server to mute (volume tweak?) the analogue outputs.
I don't remember where the setting was and now having SB Touch, i even
can't check where it was.

Anybody can help ???

Does factory reset should help ?

Re: [slim] AM / FM Radio + Squeezebox

2010-11-29 Thread bpa

The RadioShark is a USB audio source unlike a speaker which is a USB
audio output - you would need to check if the NAS kernel has audio
input support included not just audio output. Also you need to
determine what sort of audio support has been implemented usually OSS
or ALSA or Pulse as it will affect what other support applications you
need.

The RadioShark support app for tuning is built for a 2.6 x86 Linux
kernel with a specific version of glibc. To acquire audio from the
RadioShark the plugin need a version of either ecasound (OSS or ALSA)
or arecord (ALSA).

IIRC Synology NAS have a variety of processors and I'm not sure of
kernel version of glibc support so you would probably have to rebuild
the RadioShark support app to support your NAS.

No, as the files are in OggFLAC format which we don't support. This is
not "streaming" either, just plain old file downloads. You can
certainly download them and then convert them to normal FLAC though.

Hi Ralphy,
I've done this:
apt-get install alsa-base
apt-get install alsa-utils

Than I started the alsmixer and saw a device (0).
Than: ./squeezeslave-1.0-216-alsa -L
output: PortAudio error7: No output devices found.

So Alsa don't work I think. The mixer settings are OK.

Yes the distro is the same on VM. Debian Squeeze!

Right now I thinking about to make a collection to by you a dockstar
device!!! I'm sure you will love that!!! Could you tell me the price
for a dockstar in Canada???

;) Greetings from Germany,
Thomas

I know this is a stale thread but I see that they Synology NASes
support USB audio devices. See here:
