Hello *, I have installed SlimControl 1.52 (including registring and adding a key). When I start the app, it starts searching for the server. And finds it to... :-) After that it stays quite with the message Waiting for server status. Even when there are one or more players active. However, with the PDA, I can access the web interface on the SqueezeServer. So there is no connectivity issue. I'm using an i-Paq model HX4700 with WM 6.1. On the server site there is SqueezeServer 7.6.1 based on Win2k3. When running SqueezeSlave on the computers in the network, I can play and hear the music. Syncing all players works fine. Where do I start for troubleshooting this? Or even better - anyone the has experienced this too? And solved it? [slim] Incorrect time display
Hi again folks, Got myself a Sheevaplug multiboot the other day,and am quite proud to be able to report a successful outcome, except for the fact that all my squeezeboxes are now 75 minutes ahead of time. I have set the server to GMT, but cannot find anywhere to actually set the correct time. The server on the plug is the latest version ( 7.6.2 ) If I switch one of my Squeezeboxes back to the server on the desktop, that player then shows the correct time. Am I missing something simple here? Oh yeah, one more thing. I updated my HTC Desire yesterday (no OTA update there..) and was able to identify the issue. I have a working version here, which I'd like to test some more before I release it (changes had some negative side-effects). If you're willing to test before we release it, please subscribe to above bug report. Hmm, so where's the breakage I guess is the next question... HTC or squeezebox? AFAICT it's a SB issue on HTC devices only ;-). As a BTW, there are USB-to-VHA/HDMI available for around $40. I'd think about getting one of these setup before I started messing with NIC settings. Thanks, Bob. I may need to resort to getting one of those, or the diagnostic cable that's made especially for the HP MSS. I removed the critical drive with 58 bad sectors and I still had the problem last night. Now the drive that had 1 bad sector is up to 3 and another drive is showing 1 bad sector. This is getting worrying. You've looked at the error log? Anything incriminating? Any warnings or errors about anything at all? If they've hidden the event viewer from you, try start / run / eventvwr.msc /s (without the quotes). If that doesn't work, check system32 for eventvwr.msc. I have finally checked this and you are correct - Rhapsody channels do not scrobble. I scrobble everything on my two Booms and one Radio. Nothing else has this problem, not even Rhapsody playlists or albums. Internet radio scrobbles as well. I found errors in the event log that led me to some evidence that the on-board NIC in this server has issues when combined with certain routers and switches. Not enough info out there to know what combos work and what don't, unfortunately. I've ordered a USB NIC and Cat6 to replace the Cat5e and hopefully that will eliminate the problem. In the meantime, I've installed the slower USB NIC I already have and it hasn't happened since. Only one day, but I am hopeful that this is the right solution.
