It works very well, but if the ABC disappeared then TV for me would be

May work ok for your country, certainly won't work here. Entertainment

They have biased and botched those so badly it is not even funny.

There are local public access ch's and C-Span (fed's public access ch,
live congressional votes debates, committee hearings, etc...) as well
as NASA TV.

But from an entertainment aspect let the free market and consumers

There's no such setting in the GUI. It's enabled by default. You'd have to

Re: [slim] Stop 'Play All Songs'

2011-11-28 Thread PasTim

sts78;662857 Wrote:
 Well, my approach was...:

I have a lot of classical music, some dozens of albums, and a bunch of
songs without albums assigned (singles). Each of the three genres has
its very own navigation structure, because artist-album-track is quite
unusable with classical music, where composer-genre-work-movement is
a much better approach (in my opinion). And artist-album-track is
annoying for singles, there is a plain artist-track useful. So I
created three separate menus for them.

I just clicked on create new menu, took any template and went
straight to the bottom of the page and clicked on customize without
bothering to set any option in the template menu. There I built the
xml/sql menu from scratch (well, now and then copypaste'ing some
snippets I found online ;) ). Saved them under MyAlbums.cb.xml,
 MyClassic.cb.xml, MySingles.xb.xml...

Because I wanted all three menus accessible from ONE of the footer
buttons in iPeng, I grouped them together (each of the three menu got
 its menugroup-tag on top).
Some weeks later... I have had a go at modifying some of my menus in a
similar way to the way that you suggested, and it does help - thanks.

Ah, that's what I assumed and what I was afraid of. :(
Any chance this can become a GUI setting? Maybe making the clock
check-in to MySB a separate setting?
i.e. I don't want playing settings Sync'd between TinySC and MySB but
I do want an accurate clock

As has been the case since player settings Sync (MySB Integration) was
introduced in SBS it still causes issues where such settings are
sometimes not honored. Therefore switching between LMS MySB TinySC
can still cause player settings to be altered, requiring custom player
setup after performing such a switch. Many prefer simply to keep such
player setting Sync off to avoid this.

BBC have made a change and no longer provides all the programs in one

The plugin will need changes. I think Desert Island will be a special

archived content is unlikely to change.

I've been using your app for quite a while now with basically no
problems (and no major problems now either).

However, one thing I've noticed recently (I'm not sure this is new or
not) is that if I am listening to something that is from an album with
an album artist set with multiple track/song artists, I only see the
album artist on the now playing screen and not the track artist. I
don't often listen to albums like this, so I hadn't noticed this in the
past, but my wife was listening to a tribute album tagged this way, and
was frustrated by not seeing the track artist.

My duet controller on the otherhand, shows both the track artist and
album artist. Is there a setting in the app that I need to change? I
know I can get at it through the context menu, but I'd rather see the
song artist for everything.

Re: [slim] [ANNOUNCE] Music-Playback now on ANDROID! SqueezePlayer released to the market ...

2011-11-28 Thread thigger

Good news for all us android-x86 users - it seems to work fine!

However, market filtering is likely to be an issue for most of us as
there aren't many apps which appear when you're using a Joggler. It
appears that it reports almost no features, so any which are required
by an app will prevent it appearing in the market.

This is also an issue for apps like Squeeze Commander (which I gather
works fine too), so hopefully we can find a solution - either by
removing the android market filters causing the problem, or by using
some alternative app store.

2011-11-28 Thread eschurr

I'm running Squeezebox Server on 64bit Windows 7. The icon in the
system tray keeps telling me there is an upgrade. When I click on the
icon and choose 'install update it goes away but later returns to tell
me there is an update. What gives?

I tried to find somewhere to manually download and install the latest
version but Logitech makes it pretty hard to find the download option
-- i never succeeded!
