You can use the Touch as a transport, while keeping your Classic for the display. Simply set up the Classic to control the Touch (if possible, and if that's not possible, sync it with the Touch). before delving into ratings, etc., can you tell us whether the basics are working. I assume you've installed LMS, and are probably using itunes integration (although not required for basics). I have upgraded the squeezebox server . the music scna bug has been fixed but a major problem appeared . there is no more possibility to browse your music through folders . only by album, genre, years, new entries, playlists ... with 580,000 tracks, server 7.5.5 takes about 7.5 hours to look for new/changed, on my reasonably fast i7 machine. I still get timeouts sporadically on the New Music browse (controller only, not in the web interface), but I've found 7.5.5 is better than previous versions, which used to time out almost every single time. And have you waited untill the scan have finished, thats a setback with the new version you can't acess by folder untill scan is done. I dindnt see it because the scan works perfectly with all my music but music folder didn't appear . I had only the possibility to choose albums, artists, and so on ... Now it works perfectly !!! Hi, Does anyone know aything about the new Logitech Airplay Speaker? I can't find much information on it yet but was thinking that it would be nice if it was also compatable with the Squeezebox family / LMS. [slim] MOG Artist Radio ignores Diversity setting?
I'm using MOG Artist Radio through both an SB2 and SB Radio -- though the exact menu options are different, both devices give the ability to select from a list of diversity choices, from the selected artist only to only similar artists. However, as far I can tell, these choices make no difference. In all cases, I get approximately 90% tracks by the selected artist and 10% from others. (Using the MOG web UI, this works exactly as I'd want with the same artists -- ie, I can really change the mix in several increments from all songs by the artist in question to all songs by related artists.) Thanks garym. OK, so I have iTunes installed, iTunes ticked LMS and it's scanned and picked all the music. It hasn't picked up my playlists from itunes though. I hadn't realised it should do that automatically. I can browse and play albums, songs, etc on the Touch (and on the Logitech Squeezebox app on the Ipad). Any ideas why it's not picking up the playlists? Soulkeeper, thanks for pointing to that Wiki. As an aside, can you even listen to 580,000 tracks? by rough approximation it seems it would take 2 years of listening to tracks 24/7 at a minimum to get through that. I don't think large collections were really anticipated. it does not seems to be a linear relation at all 32000 tracks on an 1,2 ghz single core via mini itx takes 3 minute to do a new and changed scan in 7.7.2 and your pc is probably 20 times faster , so if the relation was linear you should do new and changed in 3 minutes too.
