On my phone (iPhone4, iOS 5.1) I would agree that there seems to be something going on to make the user experience of the mobile skin less than ideal. My starting point for the forum is always the 'new posts' page. Scrolling this page seems very laggy, not smooth at all. The layout is great, and it's a big improvement on browsing the old skin on a small screen, but it feels as though rendering the page is an intensive process. I can't see why this should be, because the rendered page looks very simple. I don't know what the hover effect is, and I don't see any evidence of text shadows. Are you suggesting these are features which don't render, but which take time and resources to load nonetheless? chill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10839 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=94513 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Really? No one with more than two players who knows how the sync options work in squeeze pad? xprezz's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21083 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=80553 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Mobile site should make some CSS changes: - remove the hover effect; - remove text-shadow property. This way mobile site will be more lightweight ro render giving better user experience. Re: [slim] [ANNOUNCE] Squeezeslave: 1.2 released
When I try to play something streaming from the web with squeezeslave, I get stuttering and the sound is like it got run through a Donald Duck processor. If I use mplayer with the cache: mplayer -really-quiet -cache 8192 -cache-min 5 URL_WOULD_GO_HERE/stream.mp3 it works just fine. I tried --latency nnn but no joy; Donald Duck still lives in my streaming radio. Any way to cache the stream like mplayer does? cptdondo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=55847 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=93607 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Andy, do you have a way to route this info to the customer support channels? I've had a user here in Germany who obviously had the same problem, he couldn't get it solved for weeks and Logitech Support obviously is not aware of the conflict. pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=94913 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Re: [slim] make suggestions about the new forum appearance
Using Opera (my favourite web browser), the icons on the left are bouncing around with nearly every click I make: 13311 This does not only look strange but it makes it difficult to navigate, too, as the lines are also jumping a little bit up or down when I click on a forum title - which often leads to the necessity to click a forum title a second time, because the first click made it jump out of the "hot spot" of the mouse pointer. Generally I think the icons are a little bit too big respectively too eye-catching. +---+ |Filename: Squeezebox Forum 2 b.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=13311| +---+ carp's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3584 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=94513 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
