Re: [slim] Stream google play music
I eventually managed to get the plugin working after figuring out the application specific password when using 2 factor auth. What I'm wondering is this: Should I see an entry for Google Music in the web UI or in the android squeezer app (both pick up the BBC iplayer plugin)? Trying to drive the plugin using the SB3's interface is... suboptimal ;) But apart from that it's really nice, so thanks! elfez's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=26119 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99482 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

You should see a Google Music entry under the My Apps menu of the Web UI of the LMS server. As far as I know, Android squeezer does not show the Google Music menu as it doesn't support the My Apps menu. You should try the official squeezebox Android App, Squeeze Controller, or Orange Squeeze. What is the SB3's interface? The interesting part is the built in music store , but there is really not much info on that ? The most burning question would i be able to easilly use these files outside the silly better mp3 player ? they sort of dont get it, this is like Fords faster horses ('If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses, Henry Ford') . It would be another lossles audio store ,they really are not enough of them yet . this one could have actual music no audiophile recordings . If you cant use the files outside the player they really really dont get it . And you can have a lossles streaming service wimp proved that . Re: [slim] [ANNOUNCE] Music-Playback now on ANDROID! SqueezePlayer released to the market ...
It appears this app will report the wrong mac address if hardwired to a set top box and wifi is turned off. I turned on wifi and that fix the issue but since LMS sends out via mac address, i get no music to the device. :( It was causing LMS to crash. Could we fix this so it will allow reporting of MAC from Hardwired devices? I would also request a feature to start it ON, instead of OFF. SqueezePlayer remembers the very first MAC address ever found. It is reused then all the time. As you say you connected it once via WiFi now everything should be working fine, even hardwired? Are you turning SqueezePlayer off explicitly at some time? If should definitely start On all the time.
