Stating according to the weather forecast, it will rain tomorrow is
not arguing - even if you don't happen to like rain.

Good luck with your search!

[slim] a 3D printable enclosure for raspi A+ / JiveLite / piCorePlayer ?

2015-08-08 Thread philippe_44

With Ralphy building JiveLite for piCorePlayer
http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?103330-Jivelite-for-piCorePlayerp=811820viewfull=1#post811820,
I was wondering if some would be interested by a 3D printable enclosure
that would integrate an raspi A+, touchscreen and some extra DAC
optionally. I'm not a good CAD designer, but I can do a bit of design. I
was thinking of only using available raspi accessories as I understand
many do not want to do their own HW and I absolutely do not want to sell
anything custom

So, question: is there an interest for such a project and would some
people here be willing to help for the CAD work either by doing some of
it or proposing design ideas or do people prefer to put a raspi in an
existing headless enclosure and use a remote UI ?

[slim] stream from a phone/mp3 player to LMS

2015-08-08 Thread Wolfy

Hi,
I am wondering if it was possible to play music from your phone or mp3
player to multiple squeeze players (squeezeplug).
I would want to be able to do this without having to install anything on
my phone.
I would like to hook my phone or MP3 player up to my local network using
a 3,5mm sound cable.
This would be done over a raspberry pi or so streaming as a my own
radio station just telling my LMS server to listen to that stream and
play it to all my squeezeplayers around my house.
Is that possible in that or in a similar way?

It is possible, but not entirely trivial - basically you need to install
a streamin application (such as icecast) on a raspberry pi.

Is there any possibility of adding replaygain support to squeezeplayer.
It seems to be available in SBplayer.

Re: [slim] iPad Squeezebox app very inaccurate

2015-08-08 Thread Otto-Wilhelm

I think that you should upgrade to IPeng on your IPad. Further, you
should consider to upgrade to an newer versions of Logitech Media
Server. LMS Version 7.9.0 works just fine.
