[slim] intercom feature?
I saw the post about the Touch having a built in microphone and suggestions that one might be able to do an intercom type system if the other squeezeboxes had a microphone as well. Has there been any work done for this to implement it? Even if the feature is built just exclusively for the Touches, I would implement the feature for sure! Would there be a way to use the speaker in the radio as the microphone? Other than trying to get this implemented with the Squeezebox, I guess I'll be looking into cameras for my house with intercom features.. Thanks for any info ahead of time! kllngtme's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=30198 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104826 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

[slim] C# need help calling LMS
Hi all, I'm trying to get my head around the jsonrpc interface to LMS ( or whatever it's called ) having never done any Web programming it all seems a bit of a black art but here is what I've tried with no success it's c# Code: using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.IO; using System.Linq; using System.Net; using System.Text; using System.Threading.Tasks; namespace ConsoleWebRequest { class Program { static void Main(string[] args) { try { HttpWebRequest request = (HttpWebRequest)WebRequest.Create(@"http://10.10.1.11:9000/jsonrpc.js;); request.Credentials = CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials; request.ContentType = @"application/json"; request.Method = "post"; String JSonCommandStr = Squeezebox.Helpers.SqueezeMessage.CreateMessage("serverstatus"); // This is the string that's returned from the above call // "{\"id\":1,\"method\":\"slim.request\",\"params\":[null,[\"serverstatus\"]]}" Stream stream = request.GetRequestStream(); Byte[] bytes = Encoding.Unicode.GetBytes(JSonCommandStr); stream.Write(bytes, 0, bytes.Length); // I don't get any error but the connection times out WebResponse wr = request.GetResponse(); } catch(Exception ex) { Console.WriteLine(ex.Message); } } } } any ideas guys ? Enable debugging for network.jsonrpc, control.command and control.queries. This will get you a lot of output, but hopefully some information about your problem, too. Re: [slim] Creating m4a from only flac on pogoplug - linux?
Wow - this is brilliant. THis should be much more advertised. Installation on a Mac is as easy as brew install mp3fs and it works - it even let's other files pass through! Brilliant. Thanks a million, I'll use it and some time in the next year update my iTunes library with this!
