Just type the command at a shell prompt such as below - if it runs ok it
will output some help text about how to run flac
/USR/SHARE/SQUEEZEBOXSERVER/BIN/ARM-LINUX/FLAC
Then do the same for sox
/USR/SHARE/SQUEEZEBOXSERVER/BIN/ARM-LINUX/SOX
and then try to run flac on your file - thie "-a" will analyze your file
- the quotation marks are necessary as you space in the file name.

*/usr/share/squeezeboxserver/Bin/arm-linux/flac -a
"/media/usb/FLAC/71-Episode V - The Asteroid Field.flac"*

I've just deleted iPeng on my iPhone and then downloaded app again from

working too. Very odd.

I think what happened is that the Transporter lost the connection to the
server and you probably reconnected it when using the IR remote

Re: [slim] Devices wanted

2016-02-10 Thread Mnyb

If you want to be really complete , SB3 came with a different psu than
"Classic" in this case Logitech improved on the 230V supply which was a
bit flimsy in the slimdevices years .

I'm almost sure "Classic" was delivered with a very similar ( if not the
same ) psu as Touch had ? Or a variant of the pihong psu .

Cool project I have a SB3 a reciever a controller and one extra Touch
stuffed somewhere as backup .

[slim] iPeng and Web Interface not connect to Transporter

2016-02-10 Thread norderney

My Amp has been away for repair. Got it back today and connected it up.
Then I found iPeng came up saying No Player Found.

I then tried iPeng on my iPad and that too said No Player Found.

I then tried playing music via the Web Interface on my PC and that too
would not allow me to play any music.

BUT if I get my remote control for the Transporter I can select artists
and tracks that way. So my Transporter is seeing my music database.

I have checked and my Transporter appears to have the correct Server IP
Address set.

I have even tried downloading the latest version of LMS without any
success.

Everything worked fine before I sent my Amp off for repair and I have
not changed any settings.

Any help would be most appreciated

I am using iPeng9
LMS Version 7.9.0 1455033096 latest
Server IP Address 192.168.0.2

Can't help you as besides need to know what remote connection have been
configured, there will be usernames and paswords needed.

However, since the system is prebuilt and configured for the odroid
device and you haven't edited any of the LMS files - the problem must
lie with your flac file.

What are the details of the audio format ? No of channels ? sample rate
? sample size ? sample format ?

This is my impression as well. Also of note, the slimdevices SB3 had the
brand 'slimdevices' embossed in the back of the device, while the
Logitech Classic had a smooth back (but it seems early Logitech devices
were shipped with the slimdevices-branded plastic shell).
Slimdevices SB3 have been shipped with 2 different IR remotes over the
years, the first was modeled after the SB2 remote.
Slimdevices SB3 were available in black/black, silver/black,
silver/white color combinations. Logitech Classics are only
black/black... and it is not exactly the same black for the front
fascia.
I think the screen color might have slightly changed as well; I would
say the Logitech Classic display had more green in it, but I can't
compare as my Classics are in storage.

I would recommend a stroll to the Wayback machine at archive.org. The
www.slimdevices.com site looks fairly well archived and you could
witness the evolution of the brand and products verbatim.

Looking in more detail - The "D" and "T" option are related to trying
the "-" rule (i.e. no processing) which fails because player needs
downsampling.

It seems to point back to either the flac or sox on the system don't
work properly or the file is not compatible with the flac app and/or LMS
requirements. These possibilities can be tested easily from a shell
script prompt.

Yes, this is the SB3/Classic "hybrid" I have: Slim Devices embossed on
back, silver Logitech logo on front. Interesting indeed!

Depends on your system, how it is setup and how you access it.
You haven't given much detail on your system except that it is an Odoid,
Do you not have a screen and keyboard attached to the system ?
