Thats the thing with wi-fi it's like the weather , you don't have to do anything for it to change... Something interferes anything from neigbours wi-fi to microvawe ovens to baby monitors . and the culprit was indeed 'wifi issues'. I think one of the Touch players isn't getting the best wifi signal. I had time to play with it today, so I connected it via powerline ethernet, and I had six players successfully streaming FLAC files all day. I still don't really understand why this should be a problem now, when it wasn't before, but as long as its working I'll have time over the christmas break to put a network switch in and hard-wire four or five of the players currently relying on wifi. Hi folks, Quick note to all before I post these on ebay/Audiogon/kijiji/whatever. I have the following (in great working shape) 3* Squeezebox boom. Displays are fine. Speakers are fine. 1* transporter with transnav in mint condition with original packaging and accessories (and bill of sale even) 1* squeezebox touch. lovely condition. I am the original owner and have love love loved these, but the place I'm moving to is much smaller and frankly I'm going to limp along on spotify / bluetooth for a while. Would really like to see them go to someone who is keen on the ecosystem rather than a reseller who will gouge. I'll price fairly. Currently in Canada, but I can ship from the USA. I do have the remotes and stuff for the booms/touch, though I need to find where I squirreled them. Honestly I never used them - iPeng all the way! A plugin that make Squeezebox show up as a player in Plex would be fun. Using Shairplay and Plex app on iPhone I can get the same function but the music gets transcoded and Replay Gain and Gapless playback is lost.
