[slim] Three UE SBs and a QNAP NAS server.
Given the above configuration, what are the options to access the thousands of music CDs and other media on the QNAP from the SBs. Ive seen some threads about getting LMS onto the QNAP but it seems thats unsupported now and troublesome at best. Any alternatives? Thanks! After reading this I looked for Settings/Player/Remote for my players which are Touch and Radios and it does not seem to exist. Is it only for the older players? Seems so :-(. [slim] IR Codes shared by boom and touch.
Hi, I have a unique situation where a have a standalone boom, and a touch that is connected to a soundbar, in the same general area. I use them independently for different listening situations that are very minor, but it works for me. I configured a harmony remote with two separate SB activities ("Listen to Boom" "Listen to Touch") in addition to watch TV, play DVD, Roku, etc. for ease of use by others... I found that the boom and the touch seem to respond to the same default IR codes (as defined by the "my harmony" application). So, the "listen to" activity turn on both units, play starts both units, etc. The result is "play touch" plays both touch and boom. Curious if there are any codes that are specific to the boom and the touch. Even if it's just a power toggle, I could say, add "toggle touch" (power off) after I initiate "listen to boom". Or, if there are any other clever solutions... DJanGo wrote: > Did you check these files for an TPE2 Tag? If TPE2 Tag = album artist tag, then yes, all of my tracks have this one (I use iTunes to manage my tracks). If it's -not- a compilation, then *album artist = artist* - if it's a compilation, then -album artist = Various Artists-. BTW I have noticed something similar if I create a -genre- menu for this virtual library: When I go into some genre entry it will show me artists (names) with no albums in them (empty). Again, false entries where the sublevel has no items. In the *artists* menu it was *artist > (false) album > empty* (virtual library has tracks from this artist, just not from these albums) now in the *genre* menu it's *genre > (false) artist > empty* (virtual library includes this artist but in another genre). I really can't make any sense of this at all. And I'm all out of ideas on where to look or what to try. afriend's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39306 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109367 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Scan non standard file extensions into music library
Thanks for the reply. So I'm assuming there's no way for a user to customise the list of included and excluded file extensions? If not, it's not something thats likely to be implemented any time soon?
