Seems like it was an ISP provided modem/router - years ago. Set DHCP range like 192.168.0.32-254. Then attempted to reserve IP address of 192.168.0.15 for a printer and received a out of range error. Never had this problem on any of my own routers. I've used this for a long time. I have several linux machines that I use rsnapshop to backup to a target server. Super simple and works extremely well. It helps to have an understanding of 'hard' and 'soft' links, at least so that you fully understand what it's doing. https://rsnapshot.org ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

[slim] Backup script recommended for a Linux headless user
I used to run LMS on a Vortexbox Fedora machine until I had a really major problem. Due to my stupid rush I lost all my files and respective backup. And I am the only one to blame!!! I had to start everything from scratch. This time I went for a headless Ubuntu setup which is working fine. I do not miss Vortexbox except for its backup script. Is there a similar script or another simple solution which I can adapt for running with my present setup? Any help would be appreciated.
