Re: [slim] terrible forum search engine -- am I missing something?
Okay then. Nice to know it's not just me. I've used the google site search in the past -- I usually remember it after pounding my head on the forum search for an iteration or two. Maybe I'll remember sooner from now on. Re: [slim] terrible forum search engine -- am I missing something?
It's crap. Use Google "site" search. Take care of your tongue. It is in a wet place and can easily slip. Lounge: Naim NDX with Touch as controller, Naim NAP 180, NAC 82, NAPSC, HiCap, Shahinian Arc speakers Kitchen/outside: Chromecast audio, Azatom iBigBoy 2 (500W) And... SB+, radios & tons of Chromecasts... all run from LMS and controlled via Material Skin on any nearby device and a couple of Touchs. Re: [slim] terrible forum search engine -- am I missing something?
Search via forum software is universally bad. Use Google instead, adding to your search query: Code: site:forums.slimdevices.com and then any typical Google search terms you want. [slim] terrible forum search engine -- am I missing something?
As far as I can tell, using "search" on this forum, there's no way to search for posts that contain *both* keyword1 and keyword2 (i.e., logical OR is the only option), nor is there a way to search for keyword1 and NOT keyword2. There also seems to be no way to get the exact posts that contain your results -- just the thread. And of course threads in this forum may easily be thousands of posts. It's hard to believe that search is so bad, so I sort of assume it must be me. Is there some sort of super-advanced mode that I don't know about? pgf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58510 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=116253 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Analog output on SB3 no longer seems to work - suggestions?
Hi all, I would also recommend a Xilinx reset as described. On top of that, you might want to try a factory reset by holding the "+" key instead of the "1". Missing analog sound can also come from settings. Even if that's quite obvious, some people actually manage to set their SB's output volume to zero by accident and never know it. There could also be server settings that cause this. Please check these, all are on default values in case of my screenshot, but even if you find the same settings it might be worthwhile to play around with them. I remember that in some cases this brought the sound back. 37691 If you don't have a Logitech Media Server but use mysqueezebox.com instead, you can find a lot of these settings on the website, too. Most of these are not reachable through infrared commands though, so a browser needs to be involved. Bad electrolytics can cause sound output to fail but usually the device stability fails first, i.e. whenever you try to play something, the SB will crash sooner or later and reboot. So we might rather be dealing with a software issue here.
