Thanks Michael. I misunderstood about the P2 parameter. I just got it working playing a web stream, which is great and the top priority. So I'll keep playing with that info! Does a playlist have a useable/passable URL, and if so how do I get that? I know how to access Chrome Developer tools etc., but don't have much knowledge past that. Thanks again! Thanks for this info and thread. I just picked up a Dot and was hoping to use it to do some simple commands. I'm able to get it to (resume) play, and stop play. But the commands I've made for playing specific playlists seems to make Squeezebox Server stop running, so I'm guessing there's something about the command that's problematic. [slim] Need help troubleshooting alarm
I've got a Squeezebox Radio that won't consistently play the playlists I ask it play as an alarm, and it instead reverts to the backup alarm. Network signal strength is 90% or greater. I also have a Classic that is mostly rock-solid regarding alarms. Any ideas how I can track down the cause? I've never messed with logging etc., but am open to ideas. [slim] Synchornization questions
I have a Squeezebox Classic, Boom and Radio. I would like to add a top level menu item to control synchronization. How can I do this? Also, is there a way to automatically sync or unsync at certain times? For instance, I'd like the Radio to turn on by itself at a certain time. Then some time after it turns on, I'd like the Classic and Boom to automatically turn on (via alarm I assume) and be in sync with the Radio. How can I do this? This would be to the top level of my Classic and Boom. I'm well aware of the menu editing in the settings, but I sure don't see a way to add the Synchronize command that's under the Settings menu directly to the top level of the Classic or Boom interface. So I currently have to go to Settings and then scroll down to Synchronize. Whereas I'd like the Synchronize option right along with my other top-level items. [slim] Custom Menu items
I've done a little searching on this forum, but want to confirm what I've found: I'm looking for a way to add custom menu items to the top-level menu. For instance, I'd love to be able to quickly unsync my Boom and Classic. I've played with the couple sync-related plugins, but they seem to do more than what I'm seeking. So for now the solution is to go to the settings menu and then sync. But I'd love to be able to add sync as a top-level menu. It seems there's no way to do this (without custom programming etc.)? Thanks, I'll try it tonight. While the slider is pretty, it might be nice to just keep it easy and have just an input box. Or keep the slider as well, but let the input box override the slider - so if the slider only goes to 90 and then I type in 120, it stays with 120. [slim] How to make alarm timeout greather than 90 minutes?
I'd like to have an alarm timeout of 120 minutes. It seems to be limited to 90 minutes, no matter if I use the slider or type an amount in, it never takes after I hit apply. I use and prefer the Uline CD mailing boxes. http://www.uline.com/BL_1451/CD-Jewel-Case-Mailers-Corrugated They're sturdy enough to ship 25 or 50 CDs in, so plenty sturdy to store. And they're just corrugated cardboard, so I can write on them and label the contents (I give all ripped CDs a number in the comments field). I prefer the 25-CD boxes, and they're easily handled and are small enough to be very flexible on how you store them. I changed the '?' to 'audio/x-pn-realaudio', as suggested. Restarted Squeezecenter. Still nothing. When I use the .ram link, I get invalid xml feed error. When I use the .rm link I get a cannot request non-http URL error. Is this a bug or a feature? Of Alien BBC or Squeezecenter? This worked fine in 6.5.4 with My Picks plugin. And I can listen via the 'tune in URL'. Just not via a Favorite. Frustrating. [slim] SqueezeCenter and real media streams (via Alien BBC)
In the old version of SlimServer, I used the My Picks plugin to organize favorites, since that allowed renaming them, etc. This functionality seems included in SqueezeCenter. However, now I can't access real media streams - SqueezeCenter doesn't recognize them as valid playable items. How do I make this happen? I know Alien BBC works fine, because I can get the stream to play via 'tune in URL'. I DON'T want to have to put it in a playlist, thus separating it from my other favorites. [slim] Library size differs between slimserver and iTunes (using exact same music folder)
I have a library that I created completely with iTunes (ripping). When I have slimserver scan that music folder, the number of songs it comes up with are different than what iTunes reports - by 18. Anyone know what causes this? I'm inclined to think the iTunes number is correct, as I'm also having troubles (which I'm working on with support) using the use iTunes function of the slimserver. I even created a new iTunes library and imported all the music from that folder into it - and after doing that both iTunes and slimserver (after scanning that same folder) reported a different number (by about 20 songs). I have checked that in iTunes. Nothing is doubled. I do have some duplicate songs, but they're from different albums (say the original and a compilation).
