[slim] Sorting Artist album by year
Hi i've been trying to find a way to sort my artist / albums by year. So i wil a get there latest albums on top of my list. I'm using a squeezebox duet and squeezebox radio. there is an option in the settings/advanced/Album sort method; Artist,year,album, but i still get my albums by alphabet. Any help om this? I know its a stream. Thats not the question. How do you think all radio stations are publishing there information? Through scripts in the stream. This can be tricky because some players start stuttering when you enable that. But every player i know off supports title streaming. Hi, With the above url http://Squeezecenterip:9001/stream.mp3 i can listin in to squeezecenter on my musicpal or winamp on my PC, but i don't see any ID3 tags can this be enabled somewehere? Hi Thank for pointing this out. Now i only have to find the SD card restore procedure and a URL to download an older firmware. This really sucks. This is not beta firmware but alpha. By the way i think the NET::UDAP should be integrated in the Squeezecentre settings webinterface. Great program/script. Hi, I just upgraded the firmware in my squeezebox duet to version 7.3 r5497, but now the Squeezebox duet doesn't seem to recognize my Wireless network. I've tried resetting the controller and the receiver but I get no further then "try other network". I have several devices working ok in this Wireless network (notebooks and PDÁ) , but the squeezebox is the only one not working. When I connect the receiver to the wired network I can get it to work with the NET::udap perl program, but when the interface is set to wireless and I set the parameters necessary parameters (SSID and wpa2 etc) it doesn't work. Is there any option to overcome this? Or is my remote bricked :-(. Problem one was due to the fact that my QNAP209 NAS did not have a DNS configured. (Never bothered to configure it) Problem two was solved by digging into the forum and finding a conversation about SSOTS and PERL. FlipFlip had found a bug in overload.pm, wich is also available as a patch in the SSOTS standalone version as 3.14.1 http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48674&page=2 I hope the QPKG version will be available soon because i use the USB util. With both changes in place everything seems to work as expected. The usbutil really helps in making my squeezecentre more resproncive. Ok, Michael no more crashes for me. And yes that was the site where i downloaded them. I noticed this nice little gadget on your site where "what i'm listenig to" is published. Is this also downloadable? I mean the gadget ofcourse not the music ;-). And when it comes to this. It would be a nice extra for softsqueeze when it filled the what i'n listening to for MSN messenger as well. I s there a solution to the problem of the constantly crashing
Biography plugin. My experience is it crashes almost always on fisrt
time use with an artist i haven't chosen before.
The windows event viewer shows this;
The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( Application ) cannot be
found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry
information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote
computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this
description; see Help and Support for details. The following
information is part of the event: Can't locate object method
"displayWidth" via package "Slim::Player::HTTP" at C:/Program
Files/SlimServer/server/Plugins/Biography/Plugin.pm line 364.
These are the line in the script it refers to;

NB: I'm using slimserver 6.5 but 6.2 has the same problem.
