A poll associated with this post was created, to vote and see the
results, please visit http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=85135

Question: Which of these iPeng enhancements would be most important for
you?

- Non-Swipe Now-Playing UI for iPhone
- "SqueezePlay-like" menu operation
- Main Player controls permanently available instead of shortcut bar
- Smaller and lower resolution artwork
- New Main Screen UI for iPad
- Advanced Synchronization
- Additional Functionality (please elaborate)

Have i read this correctly that you intend to take away "play shuffled
and the ability to make playlists", please NO, making playlists on
iPeng is fantastic and the ability to play in shuffled mode, I have
even raised a ticket for having total playing time show as you do for
albums on the playlist menu which I was hoping to see in the next
update...

Playlist is working good so leave it there...

If your music library is on your NAS, then you are the same as me, it
won't work, think the plugins are for Windows based servers only, was
hoping someone would come up with something to make it work for NAS
drives as the plugins are good for info with iPeng HD

Hi,

Wish I had never bothered, been all day trying to upgrade to 7.4.2 on
my Qnap Nas without success, I just can't get the web page for SSOTS to
open up and let me install 7.4.2, get this all the time "Firefox can't
establish a connection to the server at http://my_NAS_IP:9099/ssods";
firewall is configured to let firefox use, have carried out the
instructions (below) to the letter but get no further forward, have
looked through pages & pages for an answer on QNAP (forum) but no joy.

First download SSOTS 4.2 and SbS to the public share of your 509 (best
if you use firefox instead of IE for the download).

Then stop and uninstall Sbs 7.3.3 in: http://your_NAS_IP:9099/ssods
Stop it on the STATUS page and uninstall it on the TOOLS page.

Then disable and remove SSOTS 4.1 in the QNAP Web interface:
QNAP/Applications/QPKG plugins/QPKG installed/SSOTS

Restart
Open the QNAP web interface and go to Applications/QPKG
Plugins/Installation and browse to SSOTS 4.2 on the public share,
Install.
Just wait a minute or so after installation before opening SSOTS
http://your_NAS_IP:9099/ssods

Go to Tools page and install SbS7.4.2
After installation go to Settings page and Toggle autostart to
enabled.

Starting to loose the will to live lol

Hi Dave,

I am using 7.3.1 and can't find it, prob easiest answer is to go to
7.4.1 but have heard people have a lot of probs with it, was going to
wait until SQlite was introduced, but might just take the plunge with
7.4.1

Cheers

Hi,

Thanks for the reply but I can't find "My Music" tab to look and change
what you say, looked in squezzecenter settings but can't find it...

Playlist Generator 3.6.2 http://www.oddgravity.de/app-opc.php

I just double click on any music file in my music library that SC is
linked to and it enters it to the list, re-arrange the track listings to
what you want or let the app do it for you then name & save it to your
playlist folder that SC is linked to...

[slim] Playlists & Shuffle

2010-01-22 Thread JayLaFunk

Now that I have found my preferred and quick method of making playlists
on my SB that does not need a science degree, I am very happy but I have
noticed that when I played a playlist on shuffle then went back and
played the same playlist on shuffle a few days later, it plays the exact
same track order, it is the same with all my playlists, it plays all the
tracks in the same order, anything I can do that will mix them up a
bit...

Jay

try to access my podcast feeds, I get this message "There was an error
loading the remote feed for : (Couldn't resolve IP address for:
feeds.feedburner.com)" it is the same for all podcasts, any ideas...

Hi,

That looks good, looks what I am after, but way above my league to
understand, good you can add what you want exported to a file, I would
like Artist/Track/Album/Duration, will try to read up about it...

Cheers

Cheers, tried that and it gives me a text file which covers my needs,
it associates all my m3u files with wma rather than winamp but no
problem to turn back after use...

I have found something similar which was easier than what I was doing,
copy all the playlists (m3u files) from my NAS to my netbook, open up in
winamp then go to misc - misc - generate HTML Playlist, copy and paste
from that...

Cheers Jay

Thank you for the reply

I am using Notepad for the replace option as the m3u file contains some
text stuff I don't want in the final print, will use word as you say as
that also has the find & replace option, just thought there was an
easier solution which would give me the "Artist - Track" that is in the
m3u file, copy & Paste then print...

[slim] Printing My Playlists

2009-11-11 Thread JayLaFunk

Hi,

Is there any way I can copy the track listings of my playlists (M3u) so
that I could print them for reference...

At the moment I am opening them up (M3u) with notepad and copying into
word but it is very time consuming...

Cheers

Hi,

Installed 1.0 beta to my storage cards on my HTC Tytn II & HTC Blue

Would it be better installed on to device storage...

[slim] Podcast Info Please

2009-05-28 Thread JayLaFunk

Hi,

Hope this is the right forum for this post

Just new to the Squeezebox family and over the last 3 weeks I am now
the proud owner of a Squeezebox3 & a Squeezebox Boom feeding off my Qnap
209 NAS...

I am still finding my way around all the delights, I love the idea of
the podcasts with very easy access when you set them up, what I would
love is to see what everybody is listening to so that I can add them to
my list, would it be possible to have a sticky with podcast info so that
you can copy the addressess into the settings of Squeezecenter, here are
a few which I like to listen to, please add yours so that I can educate
myself, all podcast subjects welcome, even video podcasts as well as I
can download these (through itunes) and watch through my iTouch hooked
up to my Boom...
