I am using the default Web policy. Out of the box it doesn't have all
rules enabled. I was tshooting something else and turned off the ones
that were turned on, and when done, I turned ALL of them back on,
including the workplace productivity and similar. That's why I stopped
getting BBC radio, and the ability to connect the Boom to mysqueezebox
at all.

So I turned off the rules that aren't enabled by default.

But I still created exceptions for the urls mentioned in this thread.

Thanks, added your additional additions.

Boom was able to register, and BBC was able to stream when I whitelisted
these urls in the firewall's webfilter. Sophos decided to block them in
the last few days. I'm not sure if all of these needed to be added or
not but here they

mysqueezebox.com
bbc.co,uk
llnwd.net
opml.radiotime.com

My mistake. My Sophos XG firewall decided out of the blue that the
streams are undesirable. Same with mysqueezebox.com. When I deactivated
the web filter, it all worked again. I'll turn it back on and whitelist
them.

[slim] No More BBC Streaming Radio?

2019-02-16 Thread JetJaguar

As of maybe 3 days ago, I stopped being able to receive BBC World
Service and Radio 4 on my Squeezebox Boom. There were two ways to
initially tune them in, one through the BBC App for Squeezebox, and also
just by Squeezebox's search function. I had them on presets for years.
Now, nothing.

I'm assuming BBC has stopped publishing those stream URLs. Is there
anyway to tune them in?

A weird thin on this forum, too, is that a search of "BBC" yields
nothing.

Thanks

Peter
